We just returned from a stay in this unit and overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed the facility. The weather wasn't the greatest till the last part of our trip, but we spent that time sightseeing anyway. Mark was great in his response to any needs that we had, so the customer service was great. My only issue was the little things that could have made this a 5 star stay. I am not being picky, but these are all issues that can be prevented. It's the little things that make ones stay excellent vs just great. The day following our arrival, we had to call because the ice maker was not functioning and the bar stools were very unstable. Mark responded immediately and arranged to get them fixed. We had a remote that had no functioning batteries, and if some extras were there, I would have changed them. The track lights in the kitchen had two bulbs that were out. The pots and pans need replacing as many were scratched and difficult to cook on. The TV's were great, but you could only get the HD channels in the family room even though you had large LCD TV's in the bedrooms. I thought it was great that there were some dry goods left there that we would have normally had to buy, like pancake syrup, salt, pepper, sugar, etc. We, in turn, left whatever was not used as well for the next vacationers. The beach chairs outside appeared rusted and unusable and that was something we could have used. The boogie boards and cooler was a great plus and we used them daily. The facility pool was great and refreshing. The kids loved it! That is also where you would BBQ and it was close by the unit. I felt the view/privacy of the unit was unlike any other condo. We felt completely private even though there was another unit adjacent to us. We truely enjoyed our stay and are really happy we found this unit.

Beautiful setting and a spacious informal home with nice Indonesian furniture. The booking agent was responsive and fixed a plumbing problem that we should have noticed earlier. Nice swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking and beautiful beach and view right outside the door. definitely hike up to the pill box for a spectalular view

This rental is everything it is advertised as and more. It is a beautiful house, on one of the nicest streets in the town. Nice pool and 1 minute walk to the beach. What more could you want.

Overall we had a good time. The swimming pool does need to be cleaned more frequently. For the 7 days we were there, no one came to clean it. thanks

Tiare Hale was wonderful. It made our first trip to Hawaii one worth remembering. Tiare Hale is close to many sites (Polynesian Cultural Center, LDS Temple, Valley of the Temples...) The customer service was great. Mark was very patient even when we locked the keys in our condo. Thanks for a memorable vacation. Our family will always be greatful.

What my family & I liked best about the Hualani Cottage was that we were living in a residential neighborhood and were a part of a nice community.
Customer service received was excellent, as the property owner lived on-site and tended to our requests immediately.
The best part of my trip was the balmy, Hawaiian weather. Our family missed a blizzard back home so we were so happy.
The best restaurant I found was The Food Company, which was recommended by the Hualani Cottage guest book.
The best picture I took was of my children eating a huge smoothie bowl at Lanikai Juice.
I can't wait to tell all my friends that the Friday lunch buffet at the Hickam AFB Enlisted club is a delicious Hawaiian menu well worth the try.
My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be to be a returning visitor to HI to truly appreciate not being in the tourist Waikiki area.
The part of my trip I would definitely recommend to others is driving the H3 -- it's a serene and beautiful drive only experienced in HI.
The best "insider tip" about the Hualani Cottage while on this trip was the washer & dryer outside and around the back of the cottage -- great for families !!

1. The unit was close to lots of things that we want to do, great family area.
2. We did not need much but was quick and efficient when we wanted something.
3. Being able to spend time with friends and family in a relaxed and comfortable setting
4 We only ate out 4 or 5 times but liked Dukes and the Wake up Cafe, wanted to try Postcard but had too much food at the house to use up.
5. At the baths with the high surf and high tide and the spray in the background with 4 of us in front of it.
6. The local farmers market and the great uncrowded beaches
7. Relax it is comfortable
8. Go to the end of the road to the beginning of Ni Palli and the beaches in the area, the Light House on a sunny day the color of the surf is great.
9. Hook up with a local and get some of the local discounts
10. while it rained quite a bit it was still good for golf, walks, relaxing at the beach, watching whales, checking my business in the mornings and playing in the afternoons. The local sea food markets was great as well.

I forgot to tell the rental company that there were small piles of what looked like sawdust on the outside wall on the bedroom just off the kitchen, it has one step down, should check for termites.

Everyone on the island was very friendly, helpful and did whatever they could to make our stay Great.

Thanks,

Alan and Mary Stapleton

This place was wonderful! There were 3 bikes, 4 boogie boards, surf board, lots of snorkeling equipment, cooler, water packs, tons of beach towels, guide books, lots of DVD's (though most were PG-13 or higher - mostly not kid movies). The beds were really comfortable and had very nice linens. Our kids fought over who could sleep on the comfy blow up queen bed, and loved to take baths in the huge master tub. The unit was very spacious and very well equiped. The lanai (patio) was spacious and had the best view in the complex. We loved our stay here and really hated to leave it to go back home. Don't miss the hike along the Na Pali starting at Ke'e beach. Also don't miss Queen's Bath - short hike with waterfall accessed right there in Princeville.
