Vacation review for The Lynx Estate Kohala Ranch in Kohala Ranch, Big Island:
The house is beautifully situated above the ocean with a wide expanse of interesting vistas. It is well located for touring both the east and west sides of the island. It is a bright cheerful house and accomodate our family of 6 adults very well. Everyone felt that they had sufficient privacy. It's also lovely at night because it is high enough up to give a lovely cool breeze. We had the opportunity to go to the lava flows at Kiluaea, play tennis and golf, go snorkeling and swimming and hike. We generally ate at home for dinner but one night we went to Sushi Rock which was excellent and another night we ate at the Canoe House - fabulous ambience. i might add that while the house was very well equipped there are a few things I would change - I would get rid of the white carpets and put darkening shades or curtains in the bedrooms so that the sun does not come in at 5AM. These are minor details but could help. The bed was fantastic!!!! I'm planning on buying a new mattress now! Thanks to Brian for being so helpful each time I contacted him.
