Vacation review for Hale Makani Kai in Punaluu, Oahu:

There is a restaurant close to the Kualoa ranch, called the Tropicaina Bar and Grill. Their coconut shrimp were fantastic. The banana pancakes at the Huki Lau restaurant in Laie were so good, That place is a definite stop to eat. Ask for directions. Tish, the owner (along with her husband), was great! They do have nice beach towels, I wish I had known to save room in my suitcase.

"WOW!!! Great view. Watched the sunrise every morning. Very peaceful location. Super nice owners! Good snorkeling right off the back steps. Very clean and well kept. Wash/dryer were a big help! Great place to get away from the concrete jungle of Waikiki. Keep the country country!"
