Vacation review for Underneath the Mango Tree in Haleiwa, Oahu:

We loved the mangos. We also enjoyed the patio area. The best restaurant was Heleiwa Joes. Kids really enjoyed the Dole plantation. They liked it better than the Polynesian Cultural Center. We tried a number of the local beaches and found the best swimming beach was the one that was just a short walk from house-the local beach. Best for swimming with kids. No surf in July. Thanks for a great week!

"What a wonderful place for the family vacation! The mango tree was nice, but the butterfly tree was in full swing. Catapillers, cacoons and elegant insects flying everywhere. This location allowed us access to the entire island. After the chaos of the tourist traps we were able to escape to our little paradise only a half hour away. Mahalo!"
