Maui is such an extraordinary and special place to go. It is known for the most fabulous beaches in the world. Vacation life is one that could only be described as heavenly. Maui travel is simply indescribable. So, in the planning process of your vacation or trip to Maui, make sure that you consider and have a well thought out plan for the three basics. What are the three basics? Number one: Flights to and from the Island. There are direct flights right into Maui but you can also go to Oahu first and catch the frequently coming and going flights to Maui. It simply depends on the length of your stay and if you have a need to stop off elsewhere first. The second basic is accommodation. You need to think of where on Maui you’d like to stay and for how long at each spot. Do you want a hotel or resort or would you prefer a home-like setting in a vacation rental? Lastly, think about your car rental. Don’t just stick with the familiar names. You may be able to get better deals but doing a little Internet research. Enjoy the best that Maui has to offer but make sure that you have taken care of your basic 3.

You may be exploring the wonders of Maui for the first time for your next vacation. Not to worry, any first time experience can be a little intimidating but planning this vacation will be easier than you think. It is important when searching for information on accommodation, flights, and car rentals that you go to a site that has real people behind it. What does that mean? You want people who are actually from where you are going and that you can talk to if you have questions or concerns.
There is nothing more frustrating than a web site with no contact phone number. Are they hiding from you? Not all of us are geniuses or experts at maneuvering a webpage and sometimes we want a little extra help. Also, when you’ve never been somewhere before, some tips and advice are useful. For example, in Maui there is an accommodation called Maui Beach vacation club. If you don’t know what that is, it is nice to be able to call and ask someone for some details, especially someone who knows what they are talking about. Be sure that when you are planning your vacation to Maui or anywhere, for that matter, you choose your website wisely and the rest will be a breeze.

So you are planning a vacation to Maui. Very cool. Maui vacations are a definite good choice. If you are unfamiliar with how to coordinate such an event, never fear. There are plenty of resources out there, especially in cyber space, which can help you. Here are a few things to be thinking about. First, how do you plan to get there? Flying, of course, but with what airline. Look into all the groups that go to Maui as well as groups like Travelocity, Expedia and the like. Comparing prices is the best way to find a deal. The same is true in the car rental arena. You can check individual company prices as well as travel sites like the ones mentioned above. Though great prices can be found on package or travel sites, sometimes going directly to airline will surprise you. Finally, look at accommodation options and don’t limit yourself to just hotels. Maui and all the Hawaiian Islands are unique in the sense that vacation rentals can end up being as economical as hotels and sometimes more so. Don’t forget to look at all the various types of accommodation. One final word, you will most likely find the best deals at sites that specialize in Hawaii and offer complete packages. They usually have local contacts and staff so they get the inside scoop. Happy Planning.

Maui is known for its beautiful sandy beaches, its luxurious resorts, and its above-ground activities. But did you know that you can explore Maui underwater? That’s right — all sorts of underwater life is waiting for you among the coral reefs and sandy ocean bottom. You will see tropical fish in all colors and sizes, moray eels, and all sorts of other creatures that are so unique they almost defy description. We know what you’re thinking — exactly how do I get to see all of these great things if they’re under the water? Snorkeling is one common way to see below the surface. With a mask and breathing tube, you can swim down a little ways and explore Maui underwater. If you really want to get deep, you’ll have to use scuba gear. This requires a dive certification card, but will unlock the depths of the ocean that snorkeling cannot. But the view is amazing. You’ll see creatures you never thought existed before. Of course, if both of these options are a little to ‘hands on’ for you, there are submarine tours available from several tour companies. You’ll stay warm and dry as the submarine takes you among the reefs and marine life. In some areas, there are even manmade ’shipwrecks’ to explore (pirate booty not included). We have the ‘in’ with tour companies that have these sorts of activities and more. Just give us a call to find the best flight, rental property, and the underwater adventure of your life!

When you’re on vacation, the last thing you want is to be stuck in your hotel without a car. You could walk, but hey — it’s vacation, right? And taxis? Too expensive. Public transportation? Forget about it. No, the freedom you get from a car rental Maui is what can turn an ordinary vacation into an extraordinary one. The freedom a rental car gives you is the freedom to see what you want to see on your terms. That Polynesian restaurant you’ve heard so much about is 20 miles away, but you’re not worried. Just hop in your rental car whenever is convenient for you. Maybe you even want to stop for ice cream after. When you’ve got a car, you and your family make the rules. So where can a car rental Maui take you? How about east Maui’s Haleakala Crater. You’ll find the beautiful silver sword flower on this, the largest dormant volcano in the world. Looking for something a little greener? How about the West Maui Mountains, which boast lush rain forests that house a network of trails, cultural spots and stunning points of interest. For those looking for something a little different than stateside, visit the Tedeschi Winery where you can sip a little pineapple wine. Try getting that in Sonoma or Napa. Maui has a lot to do, and getting around in your rental car is the way to do it. Call on of our helpful representatives today and find out how easy it is to unlock the adventures that Maui has to offer.

A favorite car rental in Maui can often be the same car rental company that you use while traveling in the mainland or anywhere else in the world. You might use a particular agency frequently and as a result get special offers and discounts sent to you on a regular basis via email. They know your preferences, have all of your paperwork on file, and might even have you in one of their special status clubs. These can be nice, and you can avoid standing in line at airport car rental counters while reservation agents fill out endless forms for other people in front of you. You don’t want to waste your precious vacation time by standing in lines when a little planning and foresight can prevent it! If you’re like most people, you want to be able to arrive at the rental car center, see your name, hop in your car and just drive away. You can do the same in Hawaii. Simply select a car rental Maui that you use on a regular basis back on the mainland. Rental car companies all have strong loyalty programs to encourage customers to come back to them time after time as opposed to using a different rental car company every time you need a car rental - and special pricing and offers can be good incentives. Car rental in Maui is just like anywhere else on the mainland. All of the major car rental companies are represented, and of course there are many local companies that you will not be as familiar with. The difference is that when the large planes are coming in from the mainland, there are often 250 to 300 people on them, all with a Maui car rental reservation. It is impossible to eliminate waiting in any line, but by using your favorite car rental agency while in Maui (or one that you have a relationship with) your waiting time spent standing in lines can be minimized.

The list of Maui activities is endless. Personal preference, budget and time should be your guide. You can surf in the warm pacific waters or hike through lush rain forests with hidden waterfalls, or even snorkel at Molokini and Turtle reef and see hundreds of beautiful tropical fish. Take a helicopter ride and soar over rain forests, waterfalls, craters and more or cantor on horseback up to the edge of a lush tropical valley. Rent an ATV and ride into the heart of the Haleakala volcano. Dolphin and whale watching are favorite Maui activities for many visitors. Maui activities can be done day or night, and a variety of cruise operators not only offer dinner cruises, but also know just where to take you to get up close to the friendly sea life. You could even rent a kayak and see them on your own. Submarine tours are available for those who want to enjoy the beautiful underwater sights and stay dry while doing it, and if you’re more adventurous, you can try para-sailing off shore with many of the parasailing vendors. It is an experience you will never forget. The nights are alive with Maui activities. Maui sunset luaus include a lei greeting, an all you can eat buffet and a fantastic Polynesian revue. Name shows and a variety of live entertainment ensure a fun evening for everyone. Dining for every taste and budget on both land and sea is available including romantic dining and dancing cruises. If you’re planning a group event, a wedding or a special celebration, Maui activities can be tailored to your desires. A favorite Maui activity for many visitors is just relaxing on a beautiful beach and enjoying the refreshing ocean breezes. Just come to Maui. You will never be bored and always want to return.

A detailed map of Maui is an important tool to get around the Island. You will save a great deal of time and aggravation by having your day trips well planned if you are driving a rental car. The streets on Maui are not a perfect grid like many mainland cities. The roads curve around the mountains and are not always marked well. You can circle the entire island by road with fantastic mountain views and ocean vistas, and there are side trips to several state parks that you will not want to miss. However, the roads are not always directly connected and the condition of the different roads can vary considerably. The speed limits are strictly enforced and you must always be on the outlook for pedestrians and bicyclists. There are many sources for a good map of Maui. Most of the hotels have gift shops with a variety of maps of Maui. There are topographical maps of Maui that show the relief of the island as well as maps that advertise excursions, and some maps with great street detail. Many other retailers such as grocery stores and pharmacies also sell maps of Maui. The internet, however, is perhaps the best source for a map of Maui since you can customize it to your personal level of detail and for just the areas you intend to visit. Another great source for getting around Maui is the GPS that you can get with your rental car. The rental car agency will have booklets with specific directions for operating their brand of GPS and if you are not familiar with operating a GPS, someone at the rental car company will be happy to give you a tutorial. Having your own personal map of Maui will allow you to enjoy our beautiful island even more.
