Enjoying Henry Kapono’s Sunday Show at Duke’s in Waikiki

Looking for something to do on a Sunday Night in Waikiki? One of my favorite thing to do is to go to Duke’s and listen to Henry Kapono play his beautiful Hawaiian music from 4PM to 6PM. Enjoy music right on the beach, and enjoy the exceptional food that Duke’s has to offer including the best “Poke Rolls” and delicious food.

The reason why I like it the most is that they had a pretty amazing salad bar. People often eat unhealthy when they are on vacation as they are busy enjoying the attractions and great beaches, so it is nice that you can enjoy some great greens and healthy vegetables at Dukes.

Each dinner entree at Dukes comes with the full salad bar, which offers plenty of fresh vegetables as well as pasta salads and some surprising local delicacies.

Great Mai Tai’s – and Purple Bread!

I really enjoy the purple bread rolls as they have a distinctive taste that one will only find in the Islands. My husband ordered Duke’s delicious ribs which I gladly helped him eat. Duke’s also makes an impressive Mai Tai with their own special touch.

I a great fan of Duke’s on the beach in Waikiki, especially at sunset when you can watch surfers catch their last waves of the day as the sky begins taking on rich, deep hues.

The food as well as the drinks at Dukes are much better than at your typical hotel, and I am not sure how anyplace else could beat the great view. The service is also exceptional with lots of aloha, and add in the great music along with a brilliant sunset sky and you have an ambience that can’t be beat. Duke’s is located at 2335 Kalakaua Ave. in Waikiki. Enjoy!
