A Wide Variety of Activities Awaits You During Your Kauai Vacation

June 17th, 2007

When choosing to stay on the island of Kauai you may have a hard time deciding where to stay and what to do. Let us give you some advice. The West Kauai offers an extraordinary blend of striking natural wonders and Hawaiian cultural landmarks. Waimea Canyon was described by Mark Twain as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Just north of Polihale State Park, which is well worth a visit, is the sacred Polihale heiau. This is one of the places from which the Hawaiians believed souls of the dead departed the island into the setting sun.

If you are looking for a Kauai vacation package that includes a stay on the beach, you might want to stay in the Poipu Beach area. It is one of the favorite beaches for snorkeling and other water acitivities. It’s located on the south part of the island. Opposite this on the north part of the island is the Na Pali Coast. It is one of the most picturesque places in Hawaii. You might want to take a helicopter ride to see this or see it from a boat as it is striking yet hard to get to on foot.
