Beach Hunting from your Kauai Vacation Rentals

April 16th, 2008

There are numerous beaches on Kauai that don’t attract a lot of attention.  There is good reason for some of it.  The currents and undertows are not to be taken lightly.  If you don’t know what you are doing and don’t have good information on the beaches you want to visit, finding out the hard way is extremely detrimental to your well being.  That’s where locals and people who know the area come in handy.  If you are looking for Kauai vacation rentals and have questions about the beaches contact the travel professionals at HawaiianBeachRentals.com and talk to the staff.  Many of them live and work in the Islands and have firsthand knowledge of some of the beaches.

Some beaches you may not have heard of include Shipwreck Beach along Keoniloa Bay.  It wasn’t much of a beach until the hurricane created a much broader golden crescent.  It is a dangerous beach so if you visit you may just want to climb on the rocks and enjoy the scenery and solitude.  Another one in the area that is coming back from the hurricane instead of being created by the hurricane is Brennecke’s Beach.  The waves are starting to break again out in the bay and closer to shore so the more experienced and less experienced both can catch the waves.  It still can be dangerous so if you don’t have expert opinions on the conditions be careful.  One of the best kept secrets is Maha’ulepu at the end of a dusty sugar cane road.  You will certainly find solitude but the currents can be dangerous so be careful.
