Explore Hawaii on Foot while Staying in Kauai Vacation Homes

April 18th, 2008

If you enjoy vacations that have a lot of physical activity which isn’t even necessarily grueling then you should consider planning a vacation to explore Hawaii an specifically the island of Kauai on foot.  You should definitely choose to stay in one of many Kauai vacation homes.  You can choose any vacation home available in Kauai and which ever you choose you will not be disappointed.  Not only will you not be disappointed with your vacation home choice but you will also not be disappointed by your choice in vacation destinations.

You may want to start off your vacation in Kauai by taking a calm barefoot walk on the beach.  If you so desire this walk could even be just steps away from you choice of Kauai vacation homes.  After your walk on the beach and maybe a quiet dinner you can get all geared up for your more serious hikes or treks during your time on the island.  If you are looking for some great hikes to try in Kauai you might want to explore the Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Parks, as well as the Kuilau, Moalepe, Kalalau (11 miles), and the Powerline trails in the other regions of the island.  These hikes all range from easy to difficult and beginner to more advanced.  A great idea is to stop at a local tour company and even plan a few guided hikes with either a group or a private guide.  That of course is the safest way to hike in a place you are not familiar with.
