If you have been training for a marathon or have plans to train and run a marathon then you should think about where you really want to run that marathon. There are plenty of marathon race options out there and you want to make sure that you explore those options and pick the right race for you. But, what you might not have consider before is planning on choosing a race and running that race but also incorporating the race into an entire vacation. You can easily do this by choosing to run a race that is a vacation destination that is on your list. One of the best races and vacation combinations out there takes place in the Hawaiian islands. You can vacation on the island of Maui in the month of September and then choose to also run in the Maui marathon. Maui actually dedicates an entire weekend to the race calling it the Maui Marathon and Race Weekend. You can attend this race when staying in a Maui villa for the length of your vacation.

You might want to know why you would want to stay in a villa verses a hotel and there are many reason.
