Why Stay in a Maui Vacation Rental?

One good reason to stay in a Maui vacation rental is that it is a great island to get into shape or to stay in shape while visiting. There are plenty of ways to make that happen. For one, the easiest is probably running. You can run along the ocean on the beach and have a great start to your day with the fresh ocean fragrance and the cool ocean breeze stimulating your senses with every step. You can find trails to run in the mountains or carefully run along the roads. There are paths along some of the beaches on which you can safely run and not get quite as exhausted as running on the sand. Another exercise that goes hand in hand with running is swimming. Maybe you are getting in shape for an ironman or a triathlon. What better place than along the ocean. You can probably find a pool to do laps in if you would rather. Wailea Beach is excellent for swimming since it is protected on both ends with lava out croppings. You can add body surfing to your swimming routine for a little core workout.

Surfing must come to mind when speaking of staying in shape in Hawaii. It’s a good workout when you are riding and there are plenty of places to surf on Maui. Like all other islands, the north side is always much bigger and more dangerous in the winter. If you like biking, you can ride several places on Maui. They sometimes ride down from the top of the mountain but it isn’t much of a workout except for your heart and the adrenaline making organs. No matter what your workout of choice is you are sure to find somewhere to do so on Maui.
