Area

Mauna Kea resort is located about a 35-minute drive North of Keahole-Kona Airport along the sunny Kohala Coast of Hawaii. Luxury Resort amenities include championship golf courses, award-winning tennis, dining, cultural activities, Workout facilities, and the ultimate resort experience.

The area is known for its world-class beaches, Golf courses and cultural and archaeological sites. Enjoy the humpback whale sightings during whale season between November and April.

Kumulani Complex

Kumulani is a collection of 40 units in 10 four-plex buildings, luxury ocean view condominiums, located between two luxury hotels (Hapuna Hotel and Mauna Kea Hotel) on Kohala Coast of Hawaii and just a short drive to Hapuna Beach and Kaunaoa Bay.

The Kumulani offers breathtaking ocean and golf course views, exclusive use of the recreation pavilion with its own private lap pool, spa, and barbecue facilities and, or the hotel amenities upon registration (Daily fee applies).

We wanted to provide you with some important information for our guests in preparation for their vacation to Mauna Kea Resort

Renovation - Mauna Kea Beach Hotel

The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel began a $180M renovation on April 15. The work is beginning in the Main Tower and access to that area of the hotel including the lobby, marketplace and shops along the Koi Ponds is closed. In addition, the Mauna Kea Golf Course is closed and will reopen in early December. Members and registered Residential Guests will continue to have access to parking (in the main parking lot), beach, pool & fitness centers and select restaurants. And, of course, registration provides access to The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort & Golf Course with all amenities available.

Pool Deck Tile Repair - The Western Hapuna Beach Resort

Work on the Pool Deck at the Hapuna Family Pool will be in progress from 5/17/24 through 6/30/24. Naupaka restaurant will relocate to Ikena Landing (5th floor) and Meridia restaurant during this period and the pool will remain open. There will be some noise, but the contractors will do their best to minimize the disruption.
