Located in the Kaloli Point sun belt on the East side of the Big Island of Hawai, House of Paddles is within earshot of the Pacific Oceans crashing waves. This private tropical oasis is a two-minute walk from the spectacular Puna coastline to watch sea turtles and whales (when in season)!

Base rates are for double occupancy. Additional guests are $25/night up to a maximum of 8 guests.

Stunning custom-built in 2005, House of Paddles features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings. Throughout the home are exotic local hardwoods and Mexican tile. The fully equipped kitchen features custom Native Koa hardwood and Mango cabinets and a six burner gas stove with griddle. French doors open the Grand Room to a private tropical resort-style pool area with a propane grill. Observe beautiful sunrises and magical stargazing from the pool area.

There are three bedrooms and one additional sleeping area. The private Orchid Suite is separate from the main house and boasts an en-suite bathroom with private lava rock outdoor shower. Two more bedrooms are in the main part of the house. Bedroom 2 shares a full bathroom across the hall and Bedroom 3 has an en-suite bathroom. The final sleeping area is a comfortable queen size bed in our large laundry room.

House of Paddles is conveniently located 25 minutes from Hilo International Airport. Only 30 minutes to many must see attractions including Hawaii Volcanes National Park, snorkeling beaches in Hilo, the newly renovated Pohoiki Beach Park in Kalapana and many natural wonders. Just 15 minutes to quaint Pahoa Town for fine dining, art boutiques and groceries. Only 8 minutes to Makuu Farmers Market on Sundays.
