The small shaded parking lot and
public restrooms is the e official public access entrance to most of the
shoreline at the Mauna Lani Resort. However, a dull and utilitarian trail it is
not. Beach visitors will enjoy a trail that wanders past ancient Hawaiian
trails and fishponds along with lava tubes and caves before reaching the sandy

can enjoy a boat tour and rent everything from snorkel and fins to kayaks from
two beach stands.

Although this protected bay is
calm enough for beginner swimmers and children during the summer months and
most of the winter. Some may find that the winter surges and currents are far
too strong for novice swimmers and children.
