Hula Grill

This casual beachfront eatery in west Maui exudes the chill, laid-back "island vibe" that Hawaii has become so well-known for. Located in the main resort area of Kaanapali, Hula Grill is the perfect place to take a break from the beach while enjoying pupus (appetizers,) fish tacos, people watching, colorful tropical cocktails (complete with umbrellas,) and live music.

Hula Grill is located in Whalers Village, a popular shopping center within walking distance of many of the resorts and hotels in Kaanapali. Guests can grab a seat at the tiki-hut style bar for a cocktail and grub from the "Barefoot Bar" menu, or choose to sit in the oceanfront outdoor dining area to keep an eye on the happenings down on the beach. The menu offers a range of tropically-inspired dishes, including hamburgers, seafood, fish tacos, flatbread pizzas, salads, and more. Vegetarian and allergy-free options are available.

Hula Grill is known for their colorful island cocktails, and favorites include the Lilikoi Mojito, Lava Flow, fresh Mai Tai, Lime in Da Coconut, and Ocean Tea Breeze.

One of the most popular items on the menu is the unforgettably huge Kimo's Original Hula Pie, with an oreo cookie crust, local macadamia nut ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream. Other popular desserts on the menu include the flour less chocolate cake with kona espresso ice cream, and the Baked Hawaii, with pineapple upside-down cake, tahitian vanilla ice cream, toasted meringue, and caramel rum sauce.
