Windsurfing Lesson at Kanaha Beach
Description
Whether you're into snorkeling, deep sea diving, surfing, paddleboarding, or fishing, Maui is every water sportsman's dream. And for those whose sport requires wind, Kanaha Beach Park is a perfect paradise. With a wide open, long stretch of sandy beach, a huge park with plenty of shade for resting in-between runs, turquoise water, and consistent wind, the beach is a favorite with kitesurfers and windsurfers and their fans. If you've ever watched the colorful kites and their riders dancing over the ocean surface and dreamed of one day doing it yourself, HST Windsurfing can help make that dream a reality.
AT A GLANCE:
HST Windsurfing offers six levels of windsurfing lessons, from basic beginners to advanced skills, such as wave sailing and looping. Beginners are taken out on big board with small sails, which provide stability to allow beginners to get the hang of it quickly. The beginner level classes are scheduled for 9am, when the winds are the lightest. The other levels are scheduled on into the day after that as the wind gets stronger, with the advanced classes being held in the afternoon.
A single 1-class lesson is $89/person. Packages of 2 - 4 classes are also available, as are private lessons, loop lesson, and go-pro lesson packages. Reservations can be made online or over the phone, the day or of up to a year in advance. However, it is recommended that you reserve your session date and time at least a week in advance to ensure availability.
HST Windsurfing also offers kitesurfing and paddle boarding lessons.
