Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm

Description

The farm sits atop 13.5 acres on the slopes of Kula in breathtaking upcountry Maui. On top of the simultaneous bicoastal views of the West Maui Mountains and the North Shore, the Lavender Farm overlooks the luscious valley with a glorious view of the neighboring island of Lanai. Many lavender plants bloom in summer and spring but AKL is open year round providing a perfect place to see many sights on the island. Multiple incredible keepsake photo shots are spread throughout the farm especially for honeymooners and families!

Be sure to check out the gift shop to find great presents to send to friends. Also enjoy a guided walking tour at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 1:00 or 2:30 that will give you the best look at all the garden has to offer. The walking tours last around 30 minutes and cost $12 per person. A cart tour is also available daily at 10:30 or 2:00 and lasts around an hour and costs $25 per person with a reservation required. The Farm is filled with Gazebos and benches to sit back, relax and enjoy the views.

Treasure Hunt:
Stop by the Gallery Gift Shop to pick up a "Lavender Treasure Map" card By using the map on the brochure you can locate the 10 treasures hidden throughout the farm. Once you complete the search go back to the Gift Shop to receive a prize!

Lavender:
Not only is the Garden a great place to stop and look around but also the shop is filled with lavender products that can be used as remedies. Lavender is often used in soap and cleansers to wash away impurities. Lavender can aid in healing burns and bug bites as well as subduing headaches and sores. The shop features many products such as Lavender oil, Bath soap, body crme and many other food and hygiene merchandise.

Directions:
Starting in Kahului take Hana Highway east until you come to an intersection of Haleakala Highway. Turn right and drive on the highway for half an hour before reaching Kula. Continue until you see signs for Haleakala Crater and turn left on Kekaulike Avenue. In half a mile turn right onto Waipoli Road and you will see the Lavender Farm on your right.
