About Launiupoko Villas
Our Launiupoko luxury rentals are ideally situated on Maui's scenic western shore known for its ideal weather and great beaches that make it one of Hawaii's most desired vacation destinations.

Things To Do
Launiupoko Beach Park is a favorite location of local surfers and has a nice lawn for relaxing. An offshore reef creates a relatively well-protected area that is nice for small children. The beach here isn't very wide but it's great for beach walks enjoying views of the West Maui Mountains as well as views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai across the ocean channel. Keep an eye out for humpback whales passing by offshore during the winter months. Launiupoko Beach has restrooms and picnic facilities, and is located along Route 30 at mile marker 18.

Head south from Launiupoko to Maalaea where you can see interesting marine life at the Maui Ocean Center including a huge walk-through aquarium and interactive exhibits for children. From Maalaea Harbor you can also embark on snorkeling and diving excursions, fishing charters or just a leisurely sunset sail. Whale watching is popular during the winter months when the humpbacks arrive from far to the north to mate and give birth in Hawaiian waters.

North of Launiupoko is Lahaina town where you can find an abundance of things to do from historic tours to boat tours. The harbor in Lahaina is also the departure point for deep sea fishing charters.

Eat and Shop
About four miles north of Launiupoko is the vibrant town of Lahaina where you can find an abundance of restaurants, boutique shops and art galleries. Stroll down Front Street in Old Lahaina town to get a sense of the region's rich history as a whaling village in the 1800s. Dining options in Lahaina also include seaside luaus where you can enjoy hula and the dances of Polynesia as you feast on a wide array of sumptuous traditional foods.

North of Lahaina are the resort areas of Kaanapali and Kapalua which offer an abundance of shopping and dining options in an upscale setting, as well as great beaches. You can also head south from Launiupoko to Maalaea where you will find some nice shopping and dining choices including the landmark Buzz's Wharf Restaurant offers great ocean views over Maalaea Harbor.
