The Paia Fish Market has tried and true fish preparations, specializing in charbroiled, Cajun, sauted methods of cooking the freshest fish on island. Whether as an entre, fish taco, or burger, you are eating was swimming yesterday, making this seafood a rare treat especially at the surprisingly affordable cost per plate.

Fear not all of you "not so much into fish" people, they also do great chicken, local beef, and vegetarian dishes. Great side dish options like fresh made slaw, salads, fries and potatoes make even the smaller plates very filling. A great beer and wine selection is featured making this a great place for entrees or appetizers, what we Hawaiians call "pupus".

Our staff recommendations:

Love the Cajun preparation, which is available on all the fish dishes. In particular, the Cajun Mahimahi Burger is a delicious favorite. If you prefer Fish without the bread, order the burger without the bun for a tasty portion of fish on the cheap.

Locals Tips:
A great trick to remember when entering the line at the Fish Market, look for open seating immediately and you can have just one person from your party hold your space in line. If the line is to the door, wait a half hour and the rush usually subsides. Usually busiest at peak meal times, but if you drop in before or after the rushes, you will find empty tables fit to seat a sports team. Even when there is a line, the speed of production here is astounding. Usually with wait times of 10 to 15 minutes on receiving most dishes, unless they are lined up to the door with all the tables full.
