Wailea Gold Golf Course

Description

The Gold Course was designed by famed course architect Robert Trent Jones II, and was the home to the "The Wendy's Championships Skins Game" for many years. There are great views through out the 18 hole layout and is geared toward the experienced golfer wanting to get the most out of their game. The Gold was opened in 1994 and has been recognized with numerous rewards for its design, which is the most challenging of the three Wailea courses.

The Gold course never disappoints for the golfer wanting to push there game and feel the challenge of a championship course. There are 93 bunkers stretched throughout, several uphill fairway approaches to elevated greens, and tee shots into the prevailing wind that bring out the necessity for strategic play and knowledge of your game.


Local's Tip:
This course can get very wind affected in the afternoon, so morning play is recommended. The days are hot in Wailea so hydrate well, and prepare for sun protection needs.

Directions:
Take HI-route 31 South, Pi'ilani Highway, all the way to the end merging onto "Wailea Iki Drive". Proceed downhill to the traffic light, turn left on "Makena Alanui". Proceed a short distance and look for the signage on the left side of the road for "Wailea Golf Club Drive.
