Wailea Sunset - 4BR Home

  • This property was everything we had hoped for our 3 generations. It was well maintained, the pictures were an accurate description of what we expected. Just beautiful. We enjoyed the pool for many hours and just sat and watched the beautiful sunset for many nights. We could also see whales out in the ocean. We were a family of 6 adults and 4 children, 13, 9, 8, 7. They also enjoyed the video games after a full day of swimming and enjoying the boogie boards down at Kehei. We went to Monkeypod restaurant and Longhis. Also had to local fish tacos. We would recommend all. Kids especially enjoyed the whale watching and snorkeling trip. The property managers place is on site and answered any questions we might of had. A once in a lifetime vacation for our family at a perfect location. The kids words were, awesome and amazing. You can't ask for much more.

Wailea Sunset - 4BR Home

  • Just returned from a fabulous vacation in Maui! This is our second stay at "Nani Pulelehua" and we are just as impressed as the first time. The home is very spacious and is beautifully designed both inside and outside. Much of the outdoor furniture is new and the linens are five star quality. The pool is beyond amazing with its "walk in entrance". Every amenity you could want is available and the onsite property manager is so gracious. Our favorite part of the house is on the lanai in front of the infinity edge pool. We open the large slider doors and enjoy the tropical breeze, while simply relaxing and watching another gorgeous Maui sunset. We decided to hire a local chef this time to prepare a very elegant dinner for us. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and wanted to make it quite special. We had called the owner ahead of arriving in Maui, to ask for recommendations of local chefs who are mobile. Akio outdid herself! She created a gorgeous atmosphere poolside with lovely candles, fresh orchids, relaxing music and amazing hors d'oeuvres. We then had a fantastic seafood dinner expertly prepared. Cocktails in hand and an amazing sunset.it was a truly fantastic anniversary dinner!!! Being able to celebrate in this home was genuinely priceless! The home is wonderfully quiet and relaxing. We loved not having to deal with a busy hotel and all its bustling activity. We will definitely be returning a third time!

Wailea Sunset - 4BR Home

  • ALOHA !! On behalf of our families, I would like to express our gratefulness for the opportunity to spend a week at this absolutely beautiful haven in paradise, the BUTTERFLY house in Wailea. WE were awed the minute we set foot on the awesome property, the photos and descriptions were spot-on but we were even more impressed to see it all in person. Such a comfortable house, bedroom and bathroom layout and outdoor areas for our large group of nine ... with space to spare! The huge kitchen and island were perfect for us, but the amazing patio, infinity pool and hot tub with spectacular ocean views were simply awesome and where we lingered morning, noon and night! So nice to be away from the crowds down on the Wailea "strip" - the house gave us our own little haven of private paradise. Very comfortable sleeping for our families too. Property was well-maintained and Ed and Sebella (sp?) were so wonderful, helpful and gracious to us, living there in the "casita" above the house as caretakers and on-site managers. Customer service was excellent. We would wholeheartedly recommend this lovely home-away-from home IN PARADISE to our friends and family (already done so !!) ... such a treat to have a large group able to stay together so comfortably in one place and dine together so easily. We simply loved BBQing and eating in nearly every evening so we could appreciate the sunsets each night from the house. TOO NICE to leave, truly! Favorite activites: SIMPLY enjoying the house and lounging there .... whale-watching from the house (awesome whale activity sunrise to sundown) .... WHALE WATCHING EXCURSIONS were amazing and highlights with Pacific Whale Foundation in Lahaina -- first on a small zodiak and again on a sailboat ... great walks down to the beach and along the beach path ... lots of mai tais !! One early morning trip up to Napili to the Gazebo Restaurant, a family favorite, with just me and all the kids - great fun always ! We also really enjoyed breakfast after the sunrise zodiak whale watching excursion at the Aloha Mixed Plate restaurant on Front Street, right on the beach. Otherwise, we enjoyed just being at the beautiful house. We will hope to return with other friends and family someday soon. Our warmest MAHALO for a wonderful vacation. Sincerely, Suzanne Roberts and the Roberts-Seeley Famlies of Issaquah and Bellevue, Washington

Wailea Sunset - 4BR Home

  • This incredible property was all that I was hoping for as the location for our 40th wedding anniversary celebration with our adult children and their families, including three infants under age 3. The house itself was luxurious with four huge bedrooms, including two large masters. The eternity pool was great for the little ones with its graduated entrance and non-slippery tiles. The hot tub was a treat for young and old alike. Every toy for every age group was provided; from spades and buckets to boogie boards, umbrellas, beach chairs and video games. The outside furniture is some of the most comfortable I have experienced. From the pool one day we watched whales frisking in the ocean for about 30 minutes; blowing and breaching and having fun. The south side of the house provided a quiet and dark spot for watching the night skies and my husband enjoyed many evenings of star gazing. We celebrated a birthday and and anniversary dinner on separate occasions and the well stocked and large kitchen allowed for easy dinners for 7 people all seated around the huge island. Both the owner and the resident managers are a delight to deal with, and the house was spotlessly clean. The linens and towels were lovely as was the decorating. The beds were exceptionally comfortable hotel quality. I would recommend this property to anyone requiring a luxurious, peaceful vacation.

  • Our family's 2nd visit in last 2 years- the house is amazing. We had such a great time relaxing by the pool, making dinners in awesome kitchen and enjoying life and sharing this beautiful time together. The birds are singing songs, the air smells like perfume with flowers and views were outstanding you can see the whales jumping in the water. This place will make your vacation extra special, it feels like home- and spending time with family in the perfect setting will make memories that last forever! You cannot get this experience when your separated in condo's!! We can't wait until the next visit soon! Blessed! xoxo Ps- great location close to all beaches, excellent amenities, nice and friendly owners, lots of space for large groups and family's.

Wailea Ekahi - 2BR Condo #46F

  • I liked the layout with the two bedrooms separated. While the kitchen is updated the rest of the unit is quite dated. The beds are very old and uncomfortable. Also it was not as clean as I would have expected. There were clearly places where the vacuum had never reached. Also the lack of airconditioning in the living room made it uncomfortable at times. I love staying at Ekahi but would not stay at this unit again. On the plus side dealing with the rental agents was a pleasure and all done satisfactorily. There were a few maintenance issues that were dealt with promptly.

Azure Azul M212 at Wailea Beach Villas

  • We loved Azure Azul M212 at Wailea Beach Villas. Our booking team and our concierge helped us get ready and the welcome was amazing. The condo is superb and it was stocked with everything one could imagine to make it a great family vacation. We loved the view from the deck and used it morning and evening. Cooking in the kitchen and on the Viking grill was fantastic. We also appreciated that there were spices and other ingredients that one needs a bit of to make a meal great. Thank you very much for an incredible week! Allen Smith

Wailea Sunset Estate

  • The Wailea Sunset Estate was the best!! I celebrated my 50th birthday in that house and it was an experience like no other. The house was fabulous and in stellar condition!! Our Concierge contact for the house did a great job with making us feel very special as we got closer to our visit. We plan on visiting Hawaii again and I definitely will be using Hawaiian Beach Rentals for booking our next family vacation in Hawaii. Much Aloha! Thompson Family

Wailea Ekahi - 2BR Condo #46F

  • We really enjoyed this condo. Very spacious, well equipped, beautiful view. The walk down to the beach was quite lovely. We would definitely come back and would recommend to friends. Minor issue: the bathtub drain doesn't work very well so hard to take a shower in that bathroom. The other shower was very nice.

Hoku at Ho'olei Grand Wailea - Includes Use of Grand Wailea Resort Facilities

  • The condo was spacious, lovely and immaculate. Garden view was OK, but units higher up on the hill can see ocean. A bit too much street noise from lanai and terrace. House was very well provisioned. On-site staff is excellent. Vacation Rental assistance is fantastic!

Floral Gardens Pool Villa G102 at Wailea Beach Villas

  • Wailea Beach Villa is a spectacular resort for relaxation and location. Accomodations are top notch and you are in walking distance to the best shopping and restaurants. This is a place I would recommend to family and friends and a location I look forward to visiting again.

Wailea Ekahi - 1BR Condo #48C

  • The unit was nice, but the owners should step it up a bit. It felt like the place was outfitted at a garage sale. Nothing matched, and everything was purchased as cheaply as possible. The new kitchen is fine but the all the utensils are dated, and not even non-stick. Spend a few hundred dollars to bring the pot, pans, flatware, dishes, etc into the 2010's. The 2 baths were fine, but the towels were clearly hand-me-downs from their primary residence and none of them matched. $100 at spent Macy's Home sale this weekend would help. Same thing with the bedding, When were those pillow cases made? 1970? We've stayed at Ekahi and Ekolu many times, and this unit showed the least pride of ownership we've seen. 48C is not on our list of places to return to.

Wailea Sunset Bungalow

  • We were staying for 7 days at the Wailea Sunstet Bungalow with our 10 year old doughter. We enjoyed and liked best the location, view, privacy, comfort, sunsets, snorkling, ..... The bungalow was very well equipped, we got familiar at once and enjoyed all the accessories we faced. Perfect BBQ, nice kitchen, outside shower, even chopsticks where there ;-) The close distance to some of the nicest beaches of Maui was a blast. Daily we went to Big Beach or just the next one for Body Surfing, Boogie Boarding or snorkling. There were always plenty turtles around. One evening we joined the Grand Luau at the Grand Wailea Hotel. This was excepitonal and we can recommend the Show, the food and the drinks. As we enjoyed staying at the Bungalow so much, we decided do skip excursions like the road to Hana or driving up to the Haleakala. We spent some days bevore on Big Island and saw plenty of Volcano and Rain Forest, so it was ok to skip the sights of Maui. The only place we went on the Island beside Kihei and Wailea / Makena was Lahaina, what we liked a lot. The only complain we have about the Sunset Bungalow and Maui is the long distance from our home country Germany. An exhausting trip to go - but worth it! Mahalo and Aloha

  • Everything was perfect! Beautiful house in a beautiful setting, absolutely couldn't ask for anything nicer. The staff were extremely helpful, and they were very thoughtful, down to every little detail in the house (the fresh flowers everywhere were especially nice). We will definitely be back, and would recommend VRA to friends.

Wailea Ekahi - 1BR Condo #48C

  • Upon arriving, I thought we may have had the wrong unit since it said we would have a peek a boo view of the ocean. Instead, the picture we saw on the website was from our neighboring unit and we couldn't see the ocean at all. When we started to explore the unit, we opened the closet and found a 6 in. centipede on the ground. After realizing it was dead, we calmed down and my dad threw it outside. (We knew they were dangerous, but the locals told us that it was unlikely to see one and that it was indeed not good it was in our unit) At night we went to open up the couch to lay down and once it was set up, my mom laid down (who has had numerous back surgeries) and fell right through the couch bed. After investigation, the entire one end of the bed was ripped and there was no possible way we could fix it. My mom is not a big lady either. We were willing to deal with these issues because it was Hawaii and vacation. We then realized we were almost out of toilet paper and I requested we get some more. They told me that only two rolls were included and we had to purchase the rest. This threw us over the edge as we had been more than accomadating with the unit so far. We actually had to complain about $5 worth of toilet paper to get it. We were not even provided with 2 full rolls upon arrival and felt that since we were paying hundreds of dollars per night that we were at least entitled to that. After all of this, we woke up to several cockroaches in our sink. We found out later that they had just sprayed high dosages of chemicals on all of the flowers to kill off the bugs around the unit (not just this unit, but the entire complex). This was disappointing to me as we were coming on vacation to get rid of our worries that were associated with my having cancer a few years before, so being surrounded by the things that made me sick in the first place was aggravating. I do want to say that the management company was quick to respond and did provide us with an air mattress in place of the couch, which was nice of them, but our overall experience left something to be desired. The grounds are beautiful, and the walk to the beach was not bad at all, but the unit itself was not stellar. Each unit is different though since they are privately owned, so many of the other units looked outstanding. Maybe because I designed resorts for a living I am a little picky, but I feel like we were duped.

Wailea Sunset Bungalow

  • What an adorable beach house with the most perfect view of the ocean! Just like the larger Estate house we had rented next door, this home was beautifully decorated and well equipped. I would love to come back just to sleep in the king sized bed that the kids described at a feeling like a great big pillow. Mahalo.

Wailea Sunset Estate

  • You could not ask for a better location than this! The home is beautifully decorated and well equipped and the views truly spectacular. We loved that we could walk to the beaches in just minutes and the huge grass lawn was a hit with the kids who still needed to burn off energy after swimming all day in the pool. The rental agency made our trip a breeze to book and the introduction to the house easy. All the staff that entered the home to either clean or work on the grounds were extremely friendly and professional. Thanks for taking care of us! There are so many restaurants to choose from in the Wailea area: Nick's Fishmarket next door at the Fairmont is amazing and so was Spago at the Four Seasons. Matteo's Pizzeria was a delicious meal in a family friendly environment - you must try their cheesecake with mango sauce. Mahalo to the owner of this home who allows families like ours the opportunity to spend a bit of time in heaven.

Wailea Sunset Bungalow

  • what we liked best (other than the location)- was how fully equipped the kitchen was, all the extra towels, etc, just seemed like you thought of everything to make it the home away from home! advice to someone else staying here would be, you don't need to bring much of anything other than yourself --- don't need beach towels, ipod stereo dock, shampoo, pillows (they were great, as well as the beds), .... etc. I'd also advise to take the walk along shore on the path that goes by all the resorts --- nice walk for the evening & to have a cocktail before the sunsets at the four seasons -- didn't realize what a pretty walk & how short & easy it was until our last night. It was a perfect place for our family, we like to cook & my little guy had room to wiggle outdoors without any trouble. thank you for a terrific place to stay! we'll definitely pass the word along. • A great place to spend some time in paradise and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The aminities provided exceeded our expectations. Kindly note that the two glass butter dishes in the refrigerator crashed to the floor and shattered upon opening the doors. I would suggest that they be replaced with plastic ones.

Wailea Elua Village - 2BR Condo Ocean View #2010

  • This unit has a beautiful view. The decor left a lot to be desired--perhaps it could be described as eclectic. There were several thing in bad repair. The dishwasher had a roller off. The coffee pot had had something in it that tasted awful even after trying to clean it--it was replaced.

Wailea Elua Village - 2BR Condo Partial Ocean View #2106

  • Very dusty and old furnishings. Smelled musty. The drapes were sheer and provided no sunshine protection for sleeping in. Desperately needs some TLC. Be prepared for 3 flights of stairs and a brisk 10 minute walk to the beach and its all uphill on the way back.
