The course is friendly to all levels of play with wide fairways, and large greens.  A Hawaiian classic, this course was designed by William Bell and opened in 1973. Boasting the largest greens in the state, with deep-set bunkers surrounding the long approaching par 5's. There are six par 5's to unleash your driver on along this 6207 yard course, as you take in the windward scenery.

Highlights: Beautiful mountain and sea views in a publicly accessible course close to Honolulu and the Kailua windward side.
Challenges: The wind can blow strong here and make for difficult play and under clubbing when playing into the wind. The hillsides make this course full of rolling terrain. Water hazards along holes 6,7,8 & 9.
Holes/Yardage: 18 hole-Par 72-6,500 Blue/ 6,207 White/5,582 Red
Price Range: $115 before 1 pm, $70 after 1 p.m.
Location: Hawaii Kai, Oahu, Hawaii
Bonuses: Club rentals available on site for just $35. Smaller par 3 course called the executive available for a fraction of the cost of the Championship.

The Hawaii Kai golf courses are set along the base of the Makapuu mountains and the sand dunes that stretch behind the Ka'iwi Scenic Shoreline and provide a great roadtrip to reach your scenic golf destination. This is not resort golf, it is local Hawaii style so maybe a bit rough here or there depending on rainfall and irrigation rotation. The friendly clubhouse will get you teamed up for tee off, and set you up with a sweet round of coastal golf with out the resort attitude.

Local's Tip:
Close to Sandy's Beach Park for golf and beach hopping combination.
