Roy's - Oahu

Description

The Roy's Restaurant brand of excellence, decadent culinary creations, and top-notch service with aloha started on Oahu over 25 years ago, and Roy's still remains a favorite with locals and visitors from around the world.

Chef and founder Roy Yamaguchi was born and raised in Tokyo, and was interested in food and culinary discoveries from a young age. Following his graduation from the Culinary Institute of America, he underwent apprenticeships at L'Escoffier and L'Ermitage in LA. Roy opened his first restaurant in southern California in the early 1980s, but just a few years later made the move to Hawaii to open the very first Roy's.  What started out over twenty years ago as a simple dream "to open a neighborhood restaurant, make new friends, create, experiment, live and learn" has turned into a hugely successful and popular venture with locations throughout Oahu, Maui, and Kauai.

At a Glance:
Roy's has three Oahu locations in Waikiki, Hawaii Kai (east Honolulu,) and at the Ko'Olina Resort on the Leeward (west) side. In addition to the classic "Roy's" creations, each restaurant also has menu features that are specific to that location. Menu options encompass a range of dishes for every palette, including fish, sushi/sashimi, vegan dishes, lamb and duck, salads, and more. Guests can also order from a Hawaii-inspired  "prix fixe" menu, which has the option of including wine pairings. Roy's uses locally sourced ingredients and produce, and because of this menu offerings fluctuate somewhat based on availability.
