Complemented with cool white tile and wooden flooring, gourmet kitchen with granite and marble accents. Complete with central air conditioning. Enjoy the ocean views from the living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom. Fenced-in yard and beach side lanai area make this home great for families entertaining. There is a small beach path from the back yard leading directly onto Kailua Beach. There is also a small gated beach access on the left side of the house. Very private and quiet.

Kakela Kai is ideally suited for a large family or a couple of families. The interior is perfectly designed for a beach house with high quality, but sturdy materials and furniture, so we didn't need to worry damaging things. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and were greeted and shown around by rental staff. We were happy in every way and will be recommending it to friends, and using ourselves again if the occasion arises.

5 star location 3 star house. Furnishings were worn and not clean, bed room lamps a joke but the beds were good. BBQ was terrible. Wifi did not work all the time. Great location. Locked out of the house because all the keys didn't work. Agent was very responsive in letting us back in but the keys were never replaced. Overall things worked out but it did not meet our expectations.

It was a pleasure having the Coil family as our guests. We apologize for any inconveniences which they may have experienced. We spoke with guests a few times, as they were locked out of the house one time as one of the key's didn't work. We gave them the lock box for a 2nd set of keys and they locked those keys in the house as well, so our caretaker next door had to come over and let guests back in They had 2 working sets of keys. All the lamps in the bedrooms work and the lights in the ceiling fans work as well. The owner often comes to town and hasn't complained about lights not working, there are actually 2 new lamps in the queen bedroom. The living room furniture is going to be re-upholstered but fabric back-ordered from the mainland. Wife is with oceanic cable, and was just installed in December, router is new and this is the first time someone has mentioned it was not working properly. If they would have call we could have a Tec come over and look at the Wi-Fi. Being on the beach, the owner likes having a charcoal BBQ which is also new from December, as since we are on the beach and have to replace every 6 months. It is in working order and we also provide charcoal, etc for guests use. Over the years we have had many, many people who have stayed at Kakela Kai and have found the location and home to be perfect. We are truly sorry that Kakela Kai didn't meet your expectations.
