The outside space by the pool is perfect for lounging with a teak table for 4, its is an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing brunch or romantic dinner. The pool is solar heated to 85 year round.

  • The house was a perfect choice for our family. Plenty of room to spread out. It's well equipped in the kitchen and there are lots of games to play and also pool/beach toys, beach chairs and towels. We really appreciated the fitted life vest for our granddaughter. The beach is just a short walk and can be quickly accessed through a path just a few doors down from the house. The pool was a great place to relax and we all enjoyed playing 'soccer' in the yard. We walked into Kailua a couple of times and it was great to have a Whole Foods for grocery shopping. Definitely recommend the house for families and friends.

  • This is an excellent house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lay-out was perfect and the decor beautiful and tasteful. The location is the best on the island, in my opinion. You are steps from beautiful Kailua beach, and a great market and the shaved ice place, Island Snow, are within very short walking distance. Our daughter who lives in Hawaii took us to activities all over the island and we saw many different beaches...this one is outstanding. The response and help from the caretaker was timely and helpful; the booking agent was very helpful and worked with the owner to get approval for the dates we needed. Check-in was easy, as was the lock-box system for getting in the house. The ONLY negatives (and I hate to say anything negative...) are the lack of AC in the main house (though you do get used to it) and the solar-heated pool: we just couldn't really cool off in the pool. We did call and ask about it, and the pool guy came out, but said he couldn't lower the heat much because of owner preference. That being said, we would DEFINITELY recommend this house! We just loved it and had a wonderful time on lovely Kailua Beach. :)

June and July are the warmest months and even with the solar heat turned off the pool heats up above 85 some days. Most Hawaiian homes are built for this type of heat and we have ceiling fans in every room to help. The design of the home is centered around the pool and as a result has a great open floor plan that opens to the back lanai and pool area. We do have high quality AC in the bedrooms for great sleeping.

  • Great location. Very happy that we chose this one among several considerations. Vacation Rental Agent was perfectly attentive. Overall we were very happy. Would recommend it to others. Such easy access to perfect beach. Only two complaints: 1. Pool service arrived on Thursday so half day out of pool. Obvious that he should have done it on Sat between guests while other cleaning done at unit. 2. Two bikes in garage locked. How nice to have had access. Realize owners need some personal property . But come on - bikes?????

Thanks for the positive comments, we do really want to make sure the home is perfect when our guests arrive. As far as the pool, we use a very high quality service, as a result, they have multiple accounts so do not have the flexibility to change days based on our check in times. We structured the service to come just after the yard work is done so we don't end up with grass and debris in the pool. We also figure if guests do arrive on Saturday we would rather have the pool ready for use on arrival as it was for you and have it cleaned and serviced midweek when less arrivals occur. As far as bikes, we only have 2 bikes and they are not locked off so much for personal property but more for liability with the possibility of a road accident for which our insurance does not cover. The good news is there are rental bike companies in Kailua so entire groups can get bikes if they choose.
