The crescent-shaped beach fronts the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, and snorkeling is best on the side of the bay toward the hotel (the right side). The hotel shines lights on the water at night attracting manta rays which you can view from Manta Ray Point. Hapuna Beach is another lovely white sand beach with clear blue water and nearby amenities making it a great place for a family picnic.
