Wailea One Day Itinerary

Wailea is a resort community on Maui’s South Shore. A world-acclaimed beach and golf courses are among the assets in this town. Wailea is a quieter area to explore—while there is plenty of activity on the golf course, there’s much serenity in the spas and it’s a great balance for vacationers not looking to spend all their time soaking up the sun, although that’s certainly a great way to relax.

Check out our Wailea vacation rentals for your Maui vacation.

Start the day with an easy stroll on Wailea Beach. Ponder the day’s plan of indulgences. If you’re feeling the need to burn a few calories now, snorkeling in the morning at this beach is optimal before the waves get rocky. Whatever the activity, let the vacation dining begin with a bang at Kihei Caffe. Whichever part of the world you’re from, you can find an entree to appeal to home, with an island flavor. Biscuits, pancakes, huevos rancheros, home fries, lox and bagel and chorizo are among the hearty breakfasts. Pineapple coconut or banana macadamia nut French toast or waffles are our picks. It’s a shack with friendly folks at Kihei Caffe.

Spend some time exploring the art collection at the Maui at Wailea Four Seasons after breakfast. It’s a beautiful resort, so walk around and enjoy the fresh flowers and art in the public areas. Next, visit Lahaina Galleries at the Shops at Wailea for more exploration of fine art here, at Hawaii’s largest art gallery.

Plan on lunch at Pita Paradise for a great Greek fix before some luxuriating time at a spa. Gyros, pita pizzas and plenty of Mediterranean fare are on the menu. Do not leave without ordering dessert, the baklava ice cream cake. Since you’re already in paradise, take advantage of the pampering and schedule an afternoon of spa treatments. If deep tissue massages and delicate beauty treatments are not your thing, Wailea is home to some of the world’s best golf courses, Gold, Emerald and Blue with views of the ocean at every turn.

Also, please consider our Wailea condos.

Dinner should continue the thread of sheer excess. Try Ko bar for half price appetizers and drink specials between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Fairmont Kea Lani. Travel to the Grand Wailea for dinner at Bistro Molokini where you’ll enjoy atmosphere and favorites, including sushi, taken to a new level by island chefs. The Grand Wailea’s Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, or Humu, is another top spot with small, raw and large plates, take your pick.

A moonlight stroll back where the day began, Wailea Beach’s paved walk is a perfect balmy spot to end the evening, with the sounds of soft waves lapping the shore.

After a long day, relax in luxury in one of our Wailea luxury rentals.
