Whether you drive, hike or fly over some of these views,\u00a0you\u2019ll take time to take plenty of photos, which is important.\u00a0Maui\u2019s most treasured views will make you stop and appreciate\u00a0the moment, the location and the rare beauty of everything in your\u00a0line of sight, from blade of glass to ripple of water.<\/p>\n

The road to Hana is on every must-see list in Maui guidebooks. The\u00a0views are continuously incredible. Around the bend, you\u2019ll see\u00a0forest areas, cliffs, bridges, waterfalls and seemingly remote sacred\u00a0spots. While you hear a good bit about the curvy paths and winding\u00a0turns, on the road to Hana, you\u2019ll find a special view of your\u00a0own that will differ from just about every person you talk with and\u00a0accompany that day. Travel back from Hana on the Piilani Highway\u00a0(State Highway 31) between Ulupalakua and Kipahulu, for more pathways\u00a0filled with scenic adventures of moss, cliffs and coastline.<\/p>\n

Oheo Gulch is a land and sea lover\u2019s top pick, for its multiple\u00a0pools (not advised for swimming), waterfalls and the paths\u00a0you\u2019ll take to find each one. Large streams, waterfalls and the\u00a0bridge in one frame provide a perfect image. Known as the Seven Sacred\u00a0Pools, but many more than that amount in reality, it\u2019s the\u00a0Pipiwai and Palikea Streams that intersect and form the surreal\u00a0picture worth taking. Take an adventurous hike and find Waimoku Falls\u00a0at the end.<\/p>\n

While it looks like a live National Geographic-worthy shot,\u00a0you\u2019ll be amazed that you\u2019re standing in it when you make\u00a0the trek to Haleakala. Both sunrises and sunsets are each idyllic and\u00a0a chance to see multiple islands, mountains and landscapes including\u00a0Kaho\u2019olawe and nearby Maui\u2019s Molokini. A departure from\u00a0the craters are the whales at Ma\u2019alaea Bay. Signage calls it\u00a0the scenic point but it\u2019s actually Paawai Point to which you\u00a0want to venture, between mile markers eight and nine.<\/p>\n

Places To Stay<\/strong>
\nSome of Maui\u2019s best scenic views are in Maui\u2019s Upcountry\u00a0and The Emperor Estate<\/a> in Kula offers dreamy views of the mountains\u00a0and ocean on its 15 acres. The home is spacious for eight guests and\u00a0has plenty of luxury amenities, including a gourmet kitchen, balcony\u00a0and huge bathroom tub. You will have plenty of great views but the\u00a0nearby sights will draw you so make the most of the location near the\u00a0golf course, Haleakala National Park, Baldwin Beach and Tedeschi\u00a0Vineyard and Winery.<\/p>\n

Maui\u2019s West Side has its share of scenic views and Kai Hoku<\/a> is\u00a0an enviable vacation rental in Launiupoko for 10 guests. The features\u00a0inside the home are alone scene-setting, notably the light-colored\u00a0hardwood floors and sweeping staircase. A home that embraces the\u00a0outdoors and fits into it, the outdoor areas offer unobstructed views\u00a0and space for hours of stargazing.<\/p>\n

The Lele Penthouse<\/a> on Maui\u2019s South Side in Kihei is a lovely\u00a0place for 12 guests, likely an extended family or even a small group\u00a0of friends who want plenty of space. The plentiful sports on sand and surf\u00a0are additionally appealing.
