Enjoying Maui Trail Rides, Great Hikes and Fun First Fridays Town Parties<\/h3>\n

Trail rides!\u00a0Where to go and who to see: Pony Express and Melissa.<\/p>\n

I had the best experience ever with our tour guide Melissa.\u00a0Melissa is great with people and is very knowledgeable.\u00a0She took us on Haleakala Ranch which is located on the slopes of Haleakala Volcano – it\u00a0was unbelievable!<\/p>\n

The view of the West Maui Mountains and the North and South Shore of Maui is incredible.\u00a0There is nothing like the feeling of being free.\u00a0The horses that Pony Express uses are pleasurable and kind. After your trail\u00a0ride you could go up to Haleakala National Park or simply drive to Kula Lodge for an unbelievable scenic lunch.<\/p>\n

Maui Hikes<\/h3>\n

Hiking is one of my favorite things to do on Maui. There are so many gorgeous places to see. Even doing a shorter hike, you can get off the beaten path and can see some awesome scenery from towering waterfalls to stark volcano landscapes or lush rain forests. It is a great way to see the hidden Maui.<\/p>\n

There are some great guided hiking tours. I think “Hike Maui” is good. You can also ask your vacation rental specialist to help plan your next fun Maui hiking trip.<\/p>\n

First Fridays On Maui<\/h3>\n

A couple of years ago Wailuku started a 1st Friday tradition. The first Friday of every month the town of Wailuku hosts a block party and everyone is invited.<\/p>\n

Since then all of the other towns on Maui have started hosting their own Friday Night Town Party.\u00a02nd Friday is hosted by Lahaina Town,\u00a03rd Friday is hosted by Makawao and 4th Friday is hosted by Paia.<\/p>\n

I went to 3rd Friday in Makawao Town. There seems to be a little going on for everyone.\u00a0All of the town merchants offer special sales and some of the shops and art galleries serve wine and cheese for you to enjoy while you peruse their store.<\/p>\n

There was a hula hoop contest for ‘kids” of all ages.\u00a0The hot fired pizza trucks had people lined up for slices of their gourmet pizzas, and one of the shops hosted a fashion show with a runway, lights and music.<\/p>\n

If you want to enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants in town I recommend that you make your reservations ahead of time. The town parties are from 5pm-8pm and it\u2019s a great place to experience the local lifestyle on Maui.<\/p>\n
