Most courses have name brand rentals on-site available for your round. <br>Hazards: The courses on Maui have a good deal of slope, as well as sun exposure. Stay on course, as out of bounds in Hawaii often means lava and thorns.<br>Price Range: $35 to $350<br><br>Truth is you could build an entire vacation out of golfing on Maui. <br>For the avid golfer, there are several championship courses designed by famed architects, like Robert Trent Jones and Robin Nelson, as well as Pro golfers like Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, and Arnold Palmer to name a few.<br><br>For the casual golfer there are many options for enjoying some leisure on the links during your stay, you will find that the play here is relaxed and you will often be teamed up with other visitors. <p>Each course has its' nuances of weather. Wind is your main constant in Maui, often game play early or late in the day allows you to enjoy less windy conditions. The Gold Course was designed by famed course architect Robert Trent Jones II, and was the home to the "The Wendy's Championships Skins Game" for many years. There are great views through out the 18 hole layout and is geared toward the experienced golfer wanting to get the most out of their game. The Gold was opened in 1994 and has been recognized with numerous rewards for its design, which is the most challenging of the three Wailea courses.
