Poipu Bay Golf Course

The Poipu Bay Course is situated on 210 acres perched majestically on rolling hills and bluffs above the epic scenery of Kaua'i's southern shore.  Opened in 1991, this course makes the top ranks for some of the best golf in Hawai'i, as well as world rankings for resort golf. Host to the PGA Grand Slam event for 12 years until 2006, this is the only course on island where you can play where champions play. It is easy to see why, with lush green fairways framed by ocean and mountain views, the Poipu Bay course is a golfers' dream.

Poipu Bay is well reviewed for its quality of golf and the course conditions, so you can expect crowded and potentially slow playing conditions. The epic scenery, however, makes the experience a golfers dream. Poipu Bay's par 4, 16th hole was dubbed "the Pebble Beach of the Pacific" by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. for its sprawling run along rugged Pacific ocean coastline. Named one of the "Best 18 Holes in the West" by Los Angeles Magazine, the 16th is one of Poipu Bay's most scenic and challenging holes, featuring panoramic ocean and mountain vistas with both fairway and green sloping toward the sea.
