North Shore Cottage Rental Description
Tax ID: #TA-043-574-2720-02
This cozy three bedroom North Shore cottage has recently been completely refurbished and now offers travertine floors, granite counters, new appliances, ceiling fans, furnishings, carpeting as well as a new flat screen TV, DVD and stereo. One of the bedrooms is enclosed by sliding shoji doors.
The cottage is located on a nice ocean side lot along with it's larger "sister" home, which is situated directly overlooking the ocean. Two of the best beaches on Oahu are only 100 steps from the front door: world famous Waimea Bay to the south; and to the north the best snorkeling and children's beach on the island, Three Tables Beach.
The beautiful garden surrounding the cottage consists of large palms, plumerias and gardenias. The landscaping separates and provides privacy for both homes. The cottage has a big outdoor deck with a dining table that seats six with a gas bbq. There's also a nice outdoor shower to wash the sand off after coming back from the beach. Come relax in this wonderful cottage on world famous North Shore where you can surf, snorkel, jet ski, ocean kayak or just kick back and enjoy your iced coffee from Starbucks, which is just a block away. (Along with Foodland market, the main market on the north shore)
*Extra person fees apply for groups over 6 guests. 7 guest maximum.

Reviews
The cottage was good and we enjoyed our stay. The position of the cottage between WAimea Bay and shark cove is great. With just a few extra my "good " Rating would have been "great". We were there with our grandkids and daughter. Having no table and chairs inside was a negative for us. We love meals outside but sometimes need inside. By reacing the big old lounge with a small cleaner one a table and chairs would fit nicely. Please also provide a baking dish for the oven and a salad bowl. Little things that make a difference. This is our third rental with vacation rentals and we have enjoyed them all. Mahalo.

the house was nice and very convenient! i agree with the other reviewers that it was a bit difficult to eat as a group. also, we never found the fire pit (which had been a big selling point even though we looked everywhere and had even bought stuff to make s,mores!). all in all, i definitely recommend this place - walking distance to the beach, supermarket, great snorkel sites, and waimea state park. i wouldn't have traded our spot on the north shore for anything! thank you!

The unit was well equipped for myself and my three young children, just like a home away from home.Chris ,the property manager , was very informative and helpful. We enjoyed the proximity to Sharks Cove , Waimea Bay ,and surrounding north shore .The grocery store had everthing we needed and was within walking distance, which was conveinent.Small town atmosphere was a world away from honolulu's hustle bustle and bright lights.Explored the whole north shore and this is definitly the spot to be at to enjoy the surf and snorkle. We really enjoyed the waimea falls park! So much beauty and diversity of plants . Do not forget your camera .I was on a budget and found this property not knowing what to expect.Trump coined the phrase "location, etc." and this one has it.The whole process of securing this property was done online and via my iphone so i always had the information , reservations , and contract, right at my finger tips. Thanks guys,I may upgrade to the beach front next time around
Amazing proximity to everything. Customer service was really good. Best part was surfing with Sunset Suzie :) Best restaurant was probably the hot dog joint just opposite the supermarket. Chilled out! Definitely stay at Waimea cottage, it's got everything u need and the outdoor shower was tres romantique. Don't forget to check out at 10am otherwise you'll be watching 90210 with a hangover when the maid arrives. Next time we will go horse riding at Happy Trails :) Aloha!

I loved the sound of the ocean at night and the cool breezes, as well as the beautiful, fragrant flowers in the garden and yard. The best treat was the acai bowl at the Coffee Gallery in Haleiwa--local honey, homemade granola, acai frozen yogurt and fresh mango and papaya--worth getting up early for! We had a great trip.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very nice and comfortable. Somehow we didn't understand that "complete kitchen" does not include a dishwasher. There were also a few necessities that we wish we would have had for cooking - a spatula, other utensils and a dish towel. We also didn't have a broom until we asked for one. We were disappointed that there wasn't a BBQ. We had already bought our steaks before we came and so had to cook them on the stove. It would be good if others knew before they arrived that there wasn't a BBQ there. The spinkler system comes on a lot and makes a lot of mud in the parking area. All in all it was an awesome stay. We enjyed the sunsets and walks on the beach. We enjoyed the quietness of the town and the Foodland store. We would recomend it to our friends and may even come back ourselves someday!

Comment by Owner/Manager:
We did buy an electric bbq for this home - it is on the lanai, outdoors.....great for cooking. We also put the sprinklers on timers to prevent over-watering - no more puddles unless it rains a ton. No room for a dishwasher, but we do have spatula, towels, utensils.....
1. The front sliding security gate was inoperable and remained in the open position for our entire stay, thus the cottage and adjoining beach house were open to the street and could be accessed from the street by the general public. 2. The parking area which is shared by the cottage and the beach house was unlighted and very dark at night. There was an exterior light fixture positioned on the cottage to light the parking area, but the bulb had been removed and never replaced. 3. Smoke detectors throughout the house were disconnected. Some had the batteries removed, others had the batteries disconnected. 4. Electrical power outlets in the kitchen did not work, therefore we could not use the coffee pot or microwave oven for our entire stay. 5. The shower in the bathroom immediately off the living room did not work. Water flowed from the spigot into the tub, but the diverter valve that shifts water from the tub to the shower head did not work. Everyone had to shower in the other bathroom for our entire stay. 6. One of the bedroom's closet door (louvered/accordian type) was completely falling apart. We could not use the closet for fear that moving the door would cause it to fall apart into pieces. 6. The cottage was very clean.
