Lahaina
Fine dining in Lahaina is found at the Lahaina Grill (667-5117) where Pacific Rim cuisine is served. The Lahaina Grill is located just off of Front Street on Lahainaluna Road and serves a variety of tropical fare to delight the palate.

David Paul’s Island Grill (662-3000) on Front Street in Lahaina is run by one of Maui’s most renown chefs, David Maul. Opening in the new location in 2009, the Island Grill has elegant decor and great ocean views from the patio area. This is an expensive restaurant though the cuisine is top rate including great seafood and meats.
Also located in Lahaina is Gerard’s (661-8939) which serves French and Hawaiian cuisine. Though this restaurant is definitely one of the more expensive choices, it is a chance to taste the creations of one of Hawaii’s top chefs.
The Lahaina Fish Company (661-3472) is located along Front Street in the center of Lahaina and specializes in great fish preparations with many different fish to choose from including mahimahi, opakapaka, monchong, opah, salmon, ono, moi, ahi, and swordfish. Preparations include everything from cajun style to sweet fruit and lemon butter sauces.
Wailea
In the posh resort area of Wailea is Tommy Bahamas (875-9983), serving expensive yet well prepared and presented Pacific Rim cuisine for both lunch and dinner. Tommy Bahamas is located in the Shops at Wailea shopping center.

Just to the north of Wailea in south Kihei is Sarento’s on the Beach (875-7550) which provides very fine dining and a great view of the setting sun. This is one of the area’s finer restaurants though also quite expensive.The owners of this restaurant also own the exquisite Nick’s Fishmarket in Wailea, so the fish is particularly fresh and tasty.
Another excellent Maui restaurant is the Waterfront Maalaea (244-9028) which specializes in fine seafood and offers the most fish preparations of any Maui restaurant. The Waterfront Maalaea also has great ocean views of Maalaea Bay as well as Haleakala Volcano and the West Maui Mountains.
Kapalua
For great Hawaiian/Mediterranean food in a wonderful setting try the Plantation House (669-6299) which is located above Kapalua in the clubhouse of the Plantation Golf Course. Lunch and breakfast is also served at the Plantation House.
Another fine dining restaurant in Kapalua is the Pineapple Grill (669-9600) which is located in the clubhouse of the Bay Golf Course. Ocean and golf course views along with innovative cuisine make this a great choice.
The oceanfront dining at Merriman’s (669-6400) in Kapalua provides a wonderful atmosphere for enjoying excellent food in a beautiful, scenic setting. While Merriman’s provides one of Maui’s nicest settings for fine dining, it is also one of the most expensive restaurants.

At Roy’s Kahana Bar & Grill (669-6999) you can enjoy top quality Pacific Rim Cuisine. Located upstairs at the Kahana Gateway shopping center, Roy’s Kahana Bar & Grill is judged by many to be among Maui’s very finest restaurants.
In Maui’s Upcountry check out Halimaile General Store (572-2666) which prepares delicious meats and seafoods.
Nearby in Kaanapali you can enjoy ocean views at the Hula Grill (667-6636) located in the Whalers Village Shopping Center. Hula Grill specializes in top quality fish and meat dishes.
