Ocean Vodka
Maui also produces the unique Ocean Vodka product that has gained renown in recent years. This vodka is made using seawater pumped up from 3,000 feet beneath the ocean.

Distilled in Idaho using organic grains, the vodka is then shipped to Maui where it is blended with seawater from the deep waters of the Kona coast. Ocean Vodka is bottled in Kahului, Maui.

The advantages said to be derived from using deep seawater to make the product are said to come from the water’s lack of bacteria and man-made chemicals. The water’s salt is removed before it is used. The company claims it is the “purest vodka on the planet,” and Ocean Vodka comes in a very stylish ocean-blue bottle. The vodka is known to be smooth and sweet with a hint of grain, not syrupy, and also has a floral finish.
