WAILELE offers casual beachfront elegance on Maui 's sunset coast. Enjoy the privacy of a backyard garden with Hawaiian flowers and plants along with the waterfront excitement centrally located within Kihei's remarkable system of ocean front parks, just a short walk from shopping, the movies, a public library and tickets to all Maui attractions: SCUBA, whale watching, luaus and much more. Cove Park next door is the main training beach for beginning surf boarders. Humpback whales frolic right in front of the property from November thru March.

Experience the SUNSETS from Wailele that are truly magnificent, reflecting off any clouds at rest against the nearby islands of Kahoolawe and Lanai . Wailele's fenced garden contains 2 lime trees for those fresh sunset mai tai's or key lime pie. Privacy for the garden and 2-car parking area is secured by 2 lockable pedestrian gates and a remote controlled driveway gate.

WAILELE is non-smoking 1400 sq ft rambler. A gracious covered patio faces the ocean. This lanai is equipped with quality outdoor chairs, dining table, gas barbecue and sink. Chaises stored there can be used on the lawn. Folding beach chairs and lauhala mats stored beneath the sink can be used on site or to visit Maui 's other wonderful beaches. There is an outdoor shower at each end of the house, so you can rinse away the salt and sand when returning from the beach, or just to cool off after sunbathing. Maui's west coast has the best public white sand beaches in Hawaii.
The interior of Wailele has two bedrooms with a king size bed in each along with a complete bath with shower. Both bedrooms enjoy ceiling fans and A/C and have a phone and cable TV. In the living room there is a queen size Murphy bed and a complete bath with shower off the living room area. The washer and dryer are located in that bathroom.
The living, dining and kitchen area have ceiling fans and skylights. The stereo system is wired for both inside an outside. 50 inch flat screen TV and with the open floor plan can be viewed from the kitchen, dining and living area. There is a small office area off the living room with a built in desk that has wireless Internet service, a printer and a fax machine. All long distance calls to other Hawaiian islands and the mainland are complimentary as is the use of the fax machine and printer. Please note that there is not a computer provided and you will need to bring your own laptop and it must have a wireless card in order to connect to the Internet and your e-mail.
WAILELE vacation rental home on Maui enjoys a very complete kitchen with all the small and large appliances, coffee grinder, etc. The Sub-Zero refrigerator has an ice maker. The cookware is very complete and there are lots of dishes, flatware, wine glasses and serving pieces.

  • The location was spectacular! We couldn't believe our fortune to have such a lovely spot to vacation. The only problem was lots of traffic coming onto the property. Some people walked their dogs right up next to the house. I understood they had beach access but didn't expect them so close to the house. Some "Private Property" signs would be nice. We had an encounter with one couple who sat and argued their "right" to be able to use the property. It was unsettling to have to have an unpleasant conversation with them. Otherwise, the place was great!! The kitchen was well appointed and easy to create meals; we felt at home.

  • -Overall the Wailele is excellent. -PM was great, loved the fruit bowl! -There were some termites in the kitchen cupboards and some of the bath towels were musty. The rest of the property was excellent. -We intend to book the Wailele again and have recommended it to friends and family. -Watching whales from the kitchen is pretty awesome.

We are here at Wailele now and there are NO termites. Our home is on a quarterly pest control maintenance program and I am here personally every quarter and am diligent about ants and termites. There were very few tiny sugar ants (about 8-10) that I saw in the kitchen area and I had the pest control company come for a mid quarter service. Towels? Not sure what to say about that. Home was vacant for 10 days prior to the Waddington arrival. My husband and I preceded and followed this guests stay, no issues, in my opinion. I am extremely active in working with our housekeeper and vendors that service Wailele.

  • We have rented houses on many of the islands and Wailele is now our favorite! When our usual condo was closed for repairs we were forced to look elsewhere- luckily!! The location is perfect - walking distance to the Marketplace and restaurants, (semi) private beach and all (and I mean ALL) the comforts of home. The house is amazingly well stocked and very comfortable. The only drawback was when we realized that all beachfront property is public and therefore also the garden...got used to that quick enough except for the neighbor who liked to enjoy sunset with his cigar on the grassy knoll right in front of us. Thank you! And we'll be back!!
