The house is fully air-conditioned upstairs with ceiling fans throughout downstairs, but is situated to take advantage of the lovely Hawaiian trade winds. The master ocean-front bedroom has a king-size bed with super-comfortable posture-pedic mattress you can sink into, large private lanai, walk-in closet, and en-suite bath with double sinks, huge glass shower and sunken Jacuzzi bath tub. We recently completed a renovation of our home that included updating the interior design, new furnishings, beds, and window coverings. We are also very environmentally conscious so we have gone "green" with solar heating and PV power (40 KW/day). We love all the different venues for dining these house offers, formal indoors, informal covered patio around the pool, on the upstairs lanai, under the palm tree by the pool or, to be different, at low tide on the beach! We love to take a sunset stroll along the beach to the stream at one end, or the lava flow (very old!) at the other, sipping a G & T! Because of these natural barriers the beach is very private.
