- LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!! We don't have one bad comment regarding this rental, every aspect of it was absolutely flawless and above what we had imagined. The only question we had prior to arriving was how close it was to the water itself, and we actually had our own private beach. The pictures on the website didn't do it justice. Waking up in the master bedroom has a breath taking view that gave an even more relaxing and enjoyable start to each day. The hammock is in the most amazing location in a gazebo over the water, the perfect setting for evening naps. Can't stop talking about it, most relaxing trip to date, would recommend it to anybody!!

Cozy Bali-style home, resides amid lush green mountains of the famous Ko'olau ridge as its backdrop, blue color water of the peaceful Kaneohe Bay, with a view of the famous Mokoli'i (Chinaman Hat) island. The home is very private and quiet. A pristine beach is less than five minutes away (20 minutes with kayak), which served as a setting for the box office's 'Along Came Polly's beach scenes. more »
The picturesque surroundings are also in the box office hits Jurassic Park and recently '50 First Dates'.
The home is about 1,500 square feet and 600 + square foot deck, has 3 bedrooms, plus (1) detached room with twin, 2 full baths, and is fully furnished. The home is conveniently located near: 45 minutes from Waikiki; 45 minutes from Honolulu airport; 40 minutes from North Shore. Kaneohe town center is two minutes away with all major shopping, local eateries and a great mall. The town is serviced by three major freeways, 50 minutes to airport, Honolulu, Waikiki. - Very nice house in a great area. It was convienient to all the things we had planned in our vacation. We especially enjoyed using the two kayaks to go out to Chinaman's Hat island. Our entire family really enjoyed staying at Happy Haole Hale and would love to do it again.

- Happy Haole Hale provides a tranquil hideaway - A perfect contrast to the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. Whether sipping a blender drink on the porch, sunning and reading in the lawn chairs, or just relaxing in the hammock, the view cannot be beat! I enjoyed the sliding doors that can be pushed completely aside, merging the outdoor living space with the living room. This does welcome the geckos in, but I found them charming. The well-maintained grounds are beautiful with many flowers and palm trees. The beds are comfortable and the nights are very quiet. Oh, except for the sound of the palms rustling in the breeze. Ahhhh. Check-in is easy, and the owner is next door for anything you might need. Happy Haole Hale is a perfect launching point if you want to explore the entire island. If I has to find something negative it would be the trash on the shoreline the tide leaves behind.
