Things To Do There are many activities available on Oahu's north shore from water sports to land explorations. Golf is exceptional in this area with two courses at the oceanfront Turtle Bay Resort. Visit Waimea Valley to explore the botanical gardens and take a swim at Waimea Falls. Horseback riding and mountain bike riding are also offered in this area. At the north shore's Dillingham Field you can go for a glider ride or go skydiving to see this scenic region from above. A visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie is a fun family activity with themed villages displaying the different Pacific Island cultures, interactive exhibits and also an IMAX theater. They also host an elaborate and theatrical dinner show. Nearby Beaches Kuilima Cove is a lovely white sand beach protected by a natural rock barrier with shallow, calm water that is excellent for snorkeling. Located on the eastern side of the Turtle Bay Hilton, Kuilima Cove is a great place for children, with coral areas to explore, an abundance of colorful fish and also restrooms and showers. When large surf makes snorkeling at other beaches unfavorable this may be a good choice. The neighboring Bayview Beach sits in a protected cove between two limestone points and has a sandy bottom making it nice for swimming. During summer this is an excellent beach for water activities though high surf during winter months creates strong currents and swimming is not recommended.
