Hale Emmalani - This was an amazing home and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the pool and hot tub, the kitchen, and the living areas were so great!!! The rental company was great and responded quickly to any repair needs. The best part of the trip was that all of us were able to be together, and finding some of the beautiful beaches. I would definetly recomend this house for a large family or several couples or friends. It had it all including a washer and dryer. The best advice I could give is leave for any activity early because the traffic pace is slower there, and be careful of the waves against the lava rocks. On my next trip I would like to explore the west side, because of time we didn't have time to visit much on that side of the island. Thanks again for a wonderful trip and a beautiful memory.
Pali Ke Kua 204 - Hi!
We had a great time on kauai and would definitely stay at Pali Ke Kua with its spectacular view and lovely, clean condo. TV in upstairs bedroom did not work and my husband missed that for his evenig news. Otherwise everything was great and you guys at the travel agency were very efficent and wonderful to deal with!!!
Alii Kai 9F - Our stay in Alii Kai 9F was very good. It was such a pleasant feeling to see just how tastefully the condo was decorated. The kitchen had all of the basic things one would need to do all of the basic cooking. However, one day my daughter said that she would like to have fried chicken. The frying pans were just a little too small for cooking a whole chcken. So.... we were going to Costco that morning to buy some more provisions. We found a 12" saute pan with glass lid that would
do the job. We left the pan there in unit. By the way... it would have been even nicer if it were fried "ROOSTER" that night! It would only be fair to future guests that you provided more updated pictures of the view of the distant mountain
range. It must have been so beautiful before the LARGE CONDO UNITS were built across the street. However, you can still see the tops of the mountain range with the waterfalls after a big rain downfall. The people that managed the units were very helpful and answered all of our questions.

The Plantations 1122 - we were there March '08. This was a VERY nice place. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN! We took our three children, nanny and my husban and I and there was pleanty of room for all of us. The owners take care of the property very well. We felt so welcomed there and like it was home that we definately were not ready to go home. There was a pool and workout facilty on site as well, a big plus! We will definately rent this specific unit again! Thanks for helping make this family vacation so memorable!
Hale Makana Princeville - The Hale Makana was the VERY BEST! The views and setting are indescribably wonderful, with whales jumping and turtles swimming below in the water. Mary Patterson welcomed us to Hale Makana and was incredibly helpful to us during our stay, we can't say thank you enough for your kindness to our family.
The only things we regret about our stay is that is was nearly not long enough, 10 days was way to short a time to enjoy all the wonders of Kauai, as well as the views of the mountains and the frothing ocean from the lanai of Hale Makana.
We are very grateful to the Adams for sharing their beautiful home with us, you made our 30th anniversary the BEST! Thank you!
Cheers,

Hale Kono Kai - We had an awesome vacation! This home was perfect for several couples. It is laid out great for entertaining and the view is unbelievable. We were lucky to be there during whale season. We had an incredible show right from the deck. Albatross nest right up the street. A great nature show! The house has bikes, wagon, snorkel gear and sand buckets. A great plus.
Pali Ke Kua 208 - Positives
The view, the location and the basic underlying quality of the unit. The towels, the linens were great and the furniture was OK.
Negatives
The cutlery is rusting as are some of the metal salad/mixing bowls and with the sole exception of the kitchen pots and pans, the kitchen/dining accessoreies are very cehap and substandard. The king size bed in the ,master bedroom is really two bases with a very thin sheet of foam over it which explains why it was so uncomfortable.
Suggestion
Just as there are beach towels provided how about providing a couple of beach chairs some straw mats and a beach cooler ? Sure you van rent this but they have been part of the equipment of the last 4 condo's I have rented on Maui.
Overall
Would we go back ? Yes, but probably not to that unit. Rusty cutlery and bowls, cheap an tacky glass and dinnerware just dont fit with $210/night ++ all the other charges.
Aloha Nui - 1. The home is very large, attractive, and well designed for our family - 6 adults and 3 young children.
2. This was our second stay in the same home and the customer service has been grest both times.
3. The family closeness for meals at home.
4. The dinner at the Princeville Hotel.
5. A family photo on the deck of the home.
6. Kauai is the place of our dreams.
7. It is a wonderful home for a large family or contingent.
8. Kayaking on one of the large rivers.
9. No tips were received on this trip.
10. I am looking forward to visiting the "grand canyon-like" area.
Hale Emmalani - The pool was actually a lot nicer than it looked in the picture(s) I found online. You might want to consider re-shooting the pool (if any of my pictures turn out well... I'll send you a copy). The binder in the house said that pool would be cleaned on Wednesday... that didn't happen and the pool got fairly dirty with leaves, debris and bugs by the time we left. I would have been only too happy to have been able to clean the bottom of pool myself... if you could provide some kind of idiot-proof tool that would allow me to do so (that sounds like a hard thing to find).
The house needs a new kitchen faucet, toaster, coffee machine and better frying pans. Everything else was nearly perfect. Oh... the toilet in the second master was leaking, we called the number in the binder but the plumber never did show up (while we where there).
The layout of the house was wonderful; very family friendly and, with the playstation, pool table, big tv and high-speed internet... there's always something to do. I can hardly imagine a nicer place to have stayed.
I loved the north shore, even though it was winter (or maybe because of it)... it's less busy and touristy than the south end of the island (which is less busy and touristy than the other islands). Anini beach, 5-minutes from the home, was beautiful, uncrowded, safe to swim and snorkle at... we even swam with sea turtles.
My advice to somebody else staying here: skip the luau's (any of them, all of them... plastic lawn chairs and buffet diners are not, in my opinion, "authentic", nor worth $50 -$90 a plate) but check out the Olympic cafe in Kapa'a... the fish taco's really are (as the menu claims) the best on the island.
Mohalu Princeville - How can you possibly go wrong with the north shore of Kauai as a back-drop? The Mohalu Princeville is set in one of those 'you have to see it to believe it' locations. The unit itself had everything that we wanted and more besides. A full kitchen is a definite advantage for early morning relaxing and indulging. We even had the morning paper most days- compliments of the owner. All in all, our stay will long be remembered--Mahalo for everything!
