From the moment you enter the front gate of this Lahaina vacation home you can feel the peaceful serenity of your very own island paradise. The home has an island flair, but the landscaping and ornamentals are subtly Japanese. Take a leisurely stroll through the large front yard on a stone path as it gently winds through the flowering shower trees around the tranquil Japanese Zen rock garden and over the peaceful rock-lined pond with its bubbling waterfalls. An arched bridge leads to the homes elegant entry. Inside, the home is comfortable and airy, with a soaring exposed-beam ceiling and lots of skylights in the spacious living room. The decor, as well as the design, is clean and simple throughout. Detail is meticulous, colors relaxing, textures soft and inviting. Each bedroom has its own private entrance through glass doors from the outside lanai. Spanning the back of the house, youll find the spacious gourmet kitchen and dining room overlooking the large rear courtyard. Glass block, dramatic black marble and a whirlpool tub add glamour to the master bath. Cool water trickles over a unique rock waterfall into a glittering swimming pool with spa. Surrounding the rear lawn are the supplemental guest accommodations. A second story two bedroom apartment complete with its own kitchen, living room and private bath sits above the enclosed garage and exercise room. Behind the pool is a quaint one bedroom cottage with an open-air living area and pool table, two baths and outside pool shower. Everything is sheltered from the world by a high privacy fence and whispering palms that frame a picturesque view of breathtaking rainbows and majestic mountains. Out the front gate and down a path, you'll find yourself on a sparkling sand beach that is coral reef protected with spectacular sunsets. The estate, in historic Lahaina, is convenient to unique art galleries, fine dining, exciting nightspots, and all activities.

This home is very clean, and has lots of room. It is walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Lahaina. The only two, or three things that would make this unit a 4 star instead of a 5 star is the small T.V.s and the dated decor as one, and the other is that if you want to sit outside and have dinner and laugh, you must be very quite or the neighbor will call and let you know that you must be indoors by 9:00P.M. sharp, or not make any noise.... (even on a Saturday night). As a large family, we loved the location, but if you do want to be on a nice beach, you do need to get into your car and drive. Overall, the trip was great, and it is alot of fun to just hang around the pool and BBQ!

What I liked best about the complex was that it was ideally suited to our family of 15. The 3 sets of parents and little kids were in the main house and my older grandson and friend stayed in the pool house. This left me to have the apartment over the garage. Everyone was happy with their arrangement. The customer service I received from the very beginning back a year and a half ago when I made the reservation has been excellent. The responses to our many questions were always answered promptly and completely, even the little ones like "how many refrigerators are there." We came in a little early, but was accommodated by Mack, who was always available for calls and questions during our stay. The best part of our trip was that we could all stay in one place, instead of three or four condominiums/hotel rooms! We were able to make arrangements, have the kids at the beach or the pool and go on excursions without the problem of trying to contact each other. My sons and their wives all took one night as a night out and went to several nice restaurants, one within walking distance to the house. This was the most memorable vacation we have taken as a family and being at the house together was a major factor in making it so.

Lahaina Travis home was the perfect vacation for our family....mom, dad, kids and grand-kids...12 people. Plenty of privacy for everyone, lots and lots of bathrooms and a great swimming pool and spa. We felt like we were in our own private resort.....fully fenced for privacy from the public. It was an easy walk to the beach or into Lahaina so minimized the use of the car. Only negatives,,,,,,decor was a little dated. April 2007

"There were 7 of us on this trip and we had a great time. The house was the perfect size and we definatly enjoyed our own pool and hot tub at the the house. It was also a great location within walking distance to all the shopping and resturants in Lahaina. We would have loved to stay at least another week! We hope to be able to come bakc soon."
