Our
Lanikai vacation rentals reside in an exclusive and quiet residential community that is a suburb in the corner of Kailua on the windward coast of Oahu. The secluded area is ideal for vacationing yet without compromising the convenience of nearby shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Lanikai Beach rentals sit right on Lanikai Beach; often a picture-perfect setting for photo shoots, with its backdrop of translucent waters and pure white sand, embraced by an offshore reef. Lanikai means heavenly sea and with a name that is never disputed, it is an enticing place to stay.
Things to Do
Mokulua Nui and Mokuluas Iki are visible offshore, twin islands that are protected seabird sanctuaries. Lanikai Beach does not offer the amenities of an on-site lifeguard, public parking, restrooms, or showers; however, those staying in Lanikai will find the beach no more than five minutes away (street parking is available along Mokulua Drive). Kayaking, canoeing, sailing, swimming, snorkeling surfing, windsurfing, and of course, sunbathing, all make for a pleasant day at the beach. Families often enjoy the beach because the waters are calm, perfect for children and those who like wading in the water.
Eat and Shop
Our
Lanikai rentals are part of Kailua town, which offers a myriad of cuisines, plus two Thursday Farmers' Markets. Kailua is also home to plenty of grocery stores and local boutiques. Windward Mall is less than 20 minutes away and is accessible via TheBus. Apparel, department stores, eateries, gift shops, and a movie theater, plus occasional live entertainment make it a convenient and fun place to eat and shop.
Stop by Lanikai Juice for fresh-squeezed juices and blended smoothies, bringing back the local and natural taste that was celebrated years ago is a must. Fresh acai, lychee, passion fruit, mangos, and papayas are part of the mix.
Getting Around
Renting a car is best for excursions to the city. TheBus is public transportation that stops at Lanikai and is a great way to see and get to the Windward Mall and Ala Moana Center, among others. Taxis are available too. .
