We invite you to sit back, relax and experience the dazzling sunsets, tropical breezes and never ending ocean views from "Mango Sunsets", our private 3-acre Kohala Ranch estate where modern elegance meets traditional quality craftsmanship. This previous popular vacation rental is now available again for you to enjoy.

Perched atop a hill and nested among mature landscaping, this property is quiet and serene. As you enter the stunning hand-carved Balinese front doors you will enjoy endless unobstructed views of the ocean, Kohala coastline from Hawi to Kona, mountains, and year-around sun into water sunsets, visible from nearly every room in the home. You will be amazed with the Hawaiian beauty surrounding you every where you look. The elevation offers warm sunny days and comfortable nights year round.

If you enjoy gazing at the ocean day and night, this light and airy home has views from every angle. This home is elegantly furnished with a contemporary flare and provides all the amenities to enjoy. The great room offers you plenty of room to relax while watching meals being prepared, dine, blend up some smoothies at the entertainers' bar all while enjoying the company of friends and family in this large open area. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with everything you need. There is also a zen courtyard just off the dining area. Enjoy ocean view alfresco dining on your expansive lanai after preparing a meal of island fresh caught fish on the large BBQ. The whale watching is incredible during whale season from "Mango Sunsets".

Spacious dual master suites offer plenty of room to relax and gaze at the endless views of the ocean, mountains and tropical gardens. Each has a private lanai to watch the sunset or enjoy a cup of Kona coffee as you plan your day of adventure. The King beds are very comfortable and the rooms enjoy a tropical breeze for your dreamy nights or afternoon naps. The second Master suite also has a full size sofa bed for additional guests to sleep. Both have en-suite bathrooms and one offers a spa-like master bath which has a large soaking tub, dual shower heads and decorative marble inlays.
This home offers a great deal of privacy and is located in a secluded gated community. End-to-end storybook windows bring the outside in. There is also an office/den to sleep additional guests and additional full size bathroom with a shower. High-end finishes include: mahogany cabinets, doors and trim; travertine flooring; granite; AC in the master bedroom and office/den; double-sided fireplace; sky lights and vaulted ceilings.

The home's exterior features include: a heated saline (salt water chlorination) pool and Jacuzzi; dining and conversation areas; a spacious poolside patio for entertaining; lanais off of both master suites; an outdoor shower; and a gated, tree-lined arrival experience leading to a circular drive.
"Mango Sunsets" is located just north of two of the islands best beaches, Hapuna and Mauna Kea. There you can also enjoy world famous golf courses, tennis and oceanfront fine dining. Mauna Lani and Waikoloa resorts are located 5 minutes south of there offering more white sandy beaches, shopping, golf and dining. We also supply plenty of beach equipment so you can explore a new beach each day. Wifi is complimentary throughout the home if you need to keep in touch with family or watch movies from your i-pad. Our Smart TV's offer plenty of choices for your entertainment when you are not exploring the island.

Kawaihae Harbor, which is a few minutes away, offers multiple dining opportunities including a local Tiki bar perfect for happy hour. There is a fresh fish market, fantastic burger joint, Italian cuisine and a fine dining venue with live music. You can depart on a dive, snorkel, sport fishing or whale watch adventure with some wonderful local operators here. The sweet little towns of Hawi and Kapa'au are 15 minutes north of us. This is an artist community with great shops and quaint eateries. At the end of the road just past this is the famous Pololu Valley, which you can hike down enjoying spectacular coastline views and a black sand beach. Waimea is a short 20 minute drive where you can enjoy local farmers markets, shopping, a local brewhaus, dining and home of the famous Parker Ranch.

Enjoy all the beauty Hawaii has to offer after a day of activity and sightseeing. Once you return to Mango Sunsets, engage in the added comfort and beauty of the ocean and mountain views, whale watching while in season and never ending sunsets. A perfect way to end the day.
