Kamuela Condo Rental Description

Directly overlooking the illustrious 15th hole of the Mauna Lani Golf Course, one of the most photographed over-the-ocean holes in the world, this luxurious two bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom condominium located in Mauna Lani Point, South Kohala on the Big Island impresses with uninterrupted panoramic ocean views and unique Indonesian and Hawaiian-inspired decor throughout. Whales can be seen offshore breaching during the winter and one of the best snorkel spots on the island is a short walk away. With enough room to comfortably sleep four guests, and concrete construction and privacy walls to ensure quiet and tranquility are maintained, Mauna Lani Point B105 is the ultimate vacation rental to enjoy the year-round sunshine and warm weather for which this region is famous.

The property was recently remodeled with new showers and a stand-alone bathtub. The ocean is immediately seen upon opening the front door where beautiful new tiling flows from the entryway into the fully equipped kitchen, which boasts all stainless-steel appliances, Koa cabinets, granite countertops and a breakfast bar for two. The adjacent dining room includes an exquisite carved Indonesian arch wall feature in front of floor to ceiling mirrors that extend into the living room. The designer furnishings in the sunken living room are a great place to gather to play games, read books, or watch movies provided by the owners, and the large sliding doors expand your living space to your private outdoor lanai, which has unobstructed ocean and fairway views. Theres plenty of outdoor seating for dining and lounging, and in addition to the phenomenal views, you might also watch golfers attempt the 15th hole, canoes glide along the ocean, dolphins and whales frolicking offshore, or the ever-changing colorful sunset every night behind the swaying palm trees.

There is a cozy office alcove next to windows with stunning ocean and garden views where you can surf the web, send emails, and write postcards to family and friends who werent able to join you. Upgraded high speed internet and a printer is provided along with televisions in both bedrooms as well as the living room (56) all of which have Cable TV with HBO Max, Disney, ShowTime and Netflix and other extended cable network channels. The sizable recently remodeled master bath includes dual vanities, as well as a tiled walk-in shower and soaking tub. Cruelty free shower, hair, laundry and other cleaning products are provided by the owners. The unit contains both central air conditioning and several ceiling fans to keep you cool even on the warmest of nights.

The unit is part of the B complex, which is generally considered to be the prime location in Mauna Lani Point. The property is located within the greater Mauna Lani Resort where the recently remodeled Mauna Lani Hotel and the Orchard Hotel are located, both of which have excellent restaurants with ocean views. The Resort offers world-class amenities for an additional fee. You can play golf at the two Mauna Lani Golf Courses, play tennis, or workout in their fitness center. There is also a nine-hole golf course for beginners which is unique in the entire Island. A helicopter company which flies guests over the Island is less than ten minutes away. Nature is all around you. Some of the best beaches the Big Island has to offer are very close including Hapuna, Mauna Kea, and Anaehoomalu Bay. Composed of primarily fine grains of lava, 49 Black Sand Beach is only a five-minute drive from the unit through a gated entry. Guests will also have access to the Mauna Lani private beach club for members which provides beach lounge chairs and cabanas along with a restaurant and bar which can be accessed by car or a short ten-minute walk along the coastline from the unit. Nearby the unit, excellent snorkeling may be found directly outside to the left of the 15th hole, at the Beach Club and at Black Sands Beach. For those willing to work a little harder for their day(s) at the beach, hike to the best beach on the island that cant be reached by road, Makalawena Beach, made even more alluring because it is often secluded, especially on weekdays. Kiholo Bay, with plenty of turtles, is also a beautiful spot for those willing to hike. The owners provide beach chairs, beach towels, a beach umbrella and a cooler for use if you want to explore the Islands world famous and pristine beaches. The Mauna Kea resort is within ten minutes and has world class dining and a golf course open to the public that for many years was ranked the best in Hawaii. Many believe that the famous third hole over the ocean is the most beautiful par three in the world. Waikoloa and Hapuna also have excellent public golf courses within fifteen minutes.

There is a keyless entry to the unit, so you never need to worry about taking or losing your keys. There is a gourmet supermarket five minutes away from the unit and Waikoloa Resort with its extended shopping, restaurants and movie theatre is only ten minutes away. Waimea is twenty minutes up the hill where the world-famous Parker Ranch is located, and Kona is forty minutes south. The Kona airport is only thirty minutes away. Hilo can be accessed by way of the Saddle Road in less than 90 minutes, which also provides access to the top of Mauna Kea and all its famous observatories. Great stargazing may be had from the lanai due to the lack of surrounding lights. The Resort is located in one of the drier sections of the island, so sunny days are the rule, rather than the exception.

Please note that the community pool will be closed the last two weeks in April and the first two weeks in May.

Please note, neighboring units in the B building of Mauna Lani Point are undergoing repairs on their cast iron drain pipes. Work is scheduled to begin on October 16, 2023 and it is estimated that the work will take up to seven (7) weeks to complete. The construction dates are subject to change due to construction delays or other unforeseen interruptions to the property wide project. During this time, you will experience some additional noise due to construction. Working hours are limited to Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Please contact your property manager if construction noise extends outside of these hours.
