Come settle into your relaxing Hawaiian vacation here at Olomala Hale at Kohala Ranch, a luxurious 5-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom gated estate located in the upscale gated community of Kohala Ranch on the sunny slopes of the majestic Kohala Mountains. Enjoy total tranquility and privacy in this clean and contemporary ranch-style estate that overlooks the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific. One of the only properties in Kohala Ranch with its own private tennis court and open-air fitness pavilion, guests will also love taking a dip in the inviting swimming pool and hot tub with ocean views!

Enter Olomala Hale from the long circular driveway and Japanese inspired entrance to the incredibly spacious openly-designed common area that incorporates the gourmet kitchen, dining and living area with ample natural light as well as high-vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans for easy and breezy airflow throughout the space. The kitchen is outfitted with beautiful granite countertops and all stainless steel Miele appliances, a wine fridge, a large central island, and two breakfast bars with six bar stools for entertaining during mealtimes. The living area comes with comfortable chairs and couches to recline and enjoy your favorite shows on the large flatscreen television, while peering out towards the pool and ocean views. There is also a half-bath next to the common area as well and a private office for guests convenience.

Step out onto the covered lanai terrace that is equipped with a large dining table set for eight, a smaller table for four, and a pair of comfy lounge chairs. Grill up the fresh catch of the day at the barbecue grilling station near the pool while enjoying sunset and a swim.
Beyond the covered portion of the lanai is the pristine swimming pool and jacuzzi along with several chaise lounges to soak up the sun. The setting offers a perfect place to relax all day; from the quiet early morning sunrise to the dazzling colors of the tropical sunset. Next to the pool terrace is the fitness pavilion, equipped with a treadmill, recumbent bike and rowing machine where you can stay fit while enjoying the ocean view. Also on property is your very own private tennis court, newly resurfaced and ready for action!

The spacious primary bedroom bestows guests with a beautiful king-size bed, high-vaulted ceilings,individually controlled split-air conditioning, ceiling fan, television, pool and ocean views, with direct access to the pool terrace through sliding glass doors. A private ensuite bath with dual vanities, large soaking tub, separate water closet with a fancy Japanese toilet, and spacious walk-in closet make pampering yourself a breeze! Down the hall from the primary bedroom, sit guest rooms 2 & 3, suited with a queen-size bed and a California king, respectively. The guest rooms also enjoy the benefit of having individually controlled AC, ceiling fan, television, and garden views. They share a spacious bathroom across the hall with dual vanities and a large etched glass enclosed walk-in shower. Guestrooms 4 & 5 are in a separate wing on the other side of the house, each with a queen-size bed, individually controlled AC, ceiling fan, television, and garden views. They share access to the guest bathroom with dual vanities and a glass walk-in shower. The private home office is also located in this wing of the house.

Olomala Hale is 40 minutes from Kona International Airport, and just 30 minutes from the bustling resort area of the South Kohala Coast where guests can explore the Big Islands finest selection of restaurants, luxury boutiques and the island's most beautiful beaches! The sprawling soft white sand and warm waters of Hapuna Beach is just 20 minutes from the gates of Kohala Ranch. Downtown Kailua-Kona is about an hour away.

Please note: The considerate caretakers of Olomala Hale live quietly in the cottage to the side of the estate, allowing guests total privacy or casual communication if so desired. The caretaker and/or his friendly dog can stay off property at guest's request. Caretaker is a realtor and keeps a low profile. The dog, a friendly Golden Retriever named Zoe, is either kept in her pen or brought to her Grandpa's house off-property. Please let us know at the time of booking what your preferences are.
