About Launiupoko Vacation Rentals
Our Launiupoko vacation rentals provide you with the ultimate in relaxation and luxury on Maui's scenic western shore, one of Hawaii's most desired visitor destinations. Launiupoko is known for its ideal weather as picturesque coastal views including the islands of Molokai, Lanai and Kahoolawe across the ocean channel.

Things To Do
Depending upon ocean conditions, snorkeling can be good at Launiupoko State Wayside Park a few miles south of Lahaina town. This is a popular surfing and fishing area as well as a nice place for a picnic with barbecue grills, picnic tables and restrooms.

A short drive north will take you to Lahaina town which offers a variety of things to do from browsing through Old Lahaina town to sunset sails and snorkeling excursions and whale watching (during the winter months). A bit farther north is the resort area of Kaanapali with one of the island's nicest beaches and exceptional snorkeling at the spot called Black Rock.

Head south from Launiupoko to Maalaea Harbor to see the Maui Ocean Center where you can view a fascinating array of sea creatures. You will be literally surrounded by fish in their giant walk-through aquarium.

Eat and Shop
This West Maui region has a wide range of shopping and dining choices including many seaside restaurants where you can enjoy your meal while gazing over the blue Pacific.

To the south of Launiupoko in Maalaea you can dine overlooking Maalaea Harbor, and just to the north you have all of the great shopping and restaurants of Lahaina town. Head a bit farther north from Lahaina and you will reach the resort areas of Kaanapali and Kapalua which both offer exceptional dining and a boutique shopping as well as some of Maui's nicest beaches.

Getting Around
A rental car is recommended when staying in Launiupoko vacation rentals so you can explore the west shore's many beaches, historical sites and natural attractions from Iao Valley to Haleakala volcano and the road to Hana
