Ocean View - Studio Condo #704

  • The beach and kitchen were nice. The bed was very uncomfortable. The unit was clean. I would not book this property again.

Ocean View - 1BR Condo #610

  • The customer service we received was excellent - everything went smoothly from initial reservation to payment to instructions about the unit, to a follow up thank you message upon leaving. We would use this company again and recommend to others. The unit itself had a great view and the photos accurately portrayed the condition with just a couple of exceptions: The bathroom was very small but we appreciated the tiled shower stall with detachable shower head and good water pressure. The washer/dryer worked fine, but there was duct tape - holding it together? Not sure, since it worked fine. The dishes and glassware appeared cloudy but they were clean, so maybe it's the water or age. The view was wonderful - we enjoyed hearing the sound of the ocean during dinner and breakfast. Wifi worked well too. The location was excellent to serve as our home base for the Polynesian Cultural Center, Tropical Farms Macadamia Nut Farm, Kualoa Ranch etc. etc. Giovanni's shrimp truck just 6-7 mi up the road was wonderful for dinners. Overall, a very good experience.

Waters Edge

  • Loved our stay here at Water's Edge. House was immaculately clean and we enjoyed the view, sleeping with the sound of the ocean right outside the window and the feel of the cool ocean breeze was beautiful. Feel like you could almost be on a ship. Only thing to recommend would be some new fresh bathroom towels, as they were a little old. Did appreciate having beach towels there to use, as well as the ability to do a few loads of washing there instead of heading to a public laundry. Misty was always responsive when contacted. Beds were very comfortable as were bedding sheets etc.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the property and found everything to be in order. Small detail for future guests, there are lights around the tree in the back and could not find a way to turn them on at night.

Waters Edge

  • We truly enjoyed our stay at Waters Edge. The beds were very comfortable, a beautiful view from the deck, completely furnished house and very comfortable for the 4 of us. There was a problem with the water heater and Misty was very helpful, ending with a new hot water heater before the end of our stay. The local people of Huaula were very friendly. We also enjoyed good food at 2 local restaurants, Papa Ole's and North Shore Tacos. We were not happy with the booking agency. We booked our trip with Laurel in April 2014. After that many attempts to revisit the web site were blocked because "site is under work". Then an email was received stating our booking agent was no longer with the company. We sent our flight information, arrival time, car rental agency and names of our party members as requested. We did not hear anything more after that email. So we arrived in Honolulu not knowing directions nor how we were to get into our rental house. The web site was still down and so the direction page was still not available. We called the emergency number and thanks to Kevin, we got in touch with Misty and the rest of our trip was great. In conclusion, we recommend staying in rental homes on Oahu, but this agency needs to work on better contact after the bill is paid. Ric and Jean Hathway

  • The villa over looked a rocky beach. Swimming directly outside the villa could be hazardous but there are sandy beachs near by. The large deck allowed for outdoor enjoyment. The villa was very clean, other than a few ants, we experienced no bugs. Be prepared to buy your own toilet paper and paper towels when they run out. Only a small quantity is provided. The booking agent was very friendly and helpful and was available fir assistance through out the trip.

Waters Edge

  • The only thing good I can say about Waters Edge is that is was clean, very clean. On the negative side in no particular order. Your promotion of the property said "just steps from the beach" it is does not have beach access by any stretch of the imagination, it is 200 yards across volcanic rock to the sand it is a DANGEROUS hike to get to the beach. Before I signed the contract I called and asked my agent specifically if the property had beach access and if I could really walk to the beach from the back of the property. She called the owner and then called me back to assure me I could walk out the door to the beach. If you want to go to the beach you have to get in your car to get there. The kitchen supplies are a joke, I had a better stocked kitchen in my apartment in college. The pots and pans are missing handles or the handles are bent and loose or the cooking surface of the pans have been burnt beyond usefullness. The electrical service is inadequate for the house. With ANYTHING on in the kitchen including the kitchen lights when you turn the Microwave on everything dims and the microwave cuts to about 1/2 power. It will not even properly cook a bag of microwave popcorn. When it rains the roof leaks into the light over the kitchen table. It rained pretty hard while we were there and one day there was over an inch of water IN the light fixture. Waters Edge is a horrible rental property!

Waters Edge

  • My family and I came for a wedding on Turtle bay and were lucky enough to find this charming home on a beautiful and peaceful part of the island. The beach offers good snorkeling and is very private. There is a public park next to the home and is never crowded. On most days there is no one there. This home seems to be one of the nicest/most private oceanfront homes on the eastern side of the island. For first timers on the Oahu: there are chickens all over the island so don't be surprised if you hear them in the AM. There is a neat restaurant 5 mins from the house called "the Crouching Lion" that is worth checking out. Thank you for this great stay. We all found peace and relaxation here.

  • Beautiful location, it was wonderful to listen to the waves every night. This home is well kept, modernized, comfortable & had everything we needed. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanted to get away from the crowds of Waikiki.

  • We stayed in this terrific house on the water with our 2 kids ages 13 and10 for a week during spring break. It is in a quiet little town but very close to several must see Hawaiian attractions. Kualoa Ranch 10 minutes away. Polynesian Cultural Center 2 minutes away. Quiet beach 1 minute. The view from the deck is spectacular. The sunrise was amazing each morning. We had all the amenities we needed at the house and felt at home all week. Our kids did not want to leave. It was truly an awesome vacation for our family. We highly recommend staying here for a quiet hawaiaan experience. Mahalo, arish (808)728-8475
