About Makaha Villas
Oahu's Leeward Coast is a transfixing part of the island, with the strength of the 4000 foot Waianae mountains, wildly jagged and resort area, dryer than the other regions. Quality time together is easy at one of our Makaha luxury rentals, with plenty of secluded spots for romantic picnics and complete rejuvenation at the resort and day spas in neighboring towns.

Things To Do

A storybook wildly romantic place to explore is Kaena Point State Park for strolls, picnics and plenty of picture-taking opportunities of the birds and native plants. Pack a gourmet meal and celebrate the island's gorgeous coastline and foamy waves. The beach is remote and you won't find facilities here, so plan accordingly.

Makaha Resort & Golf Club offers a championship course that has won acclaim nationally and among local residents as the course they love to play. Surrounded by massive mountains within a valley setting, pure white clouds coast above and expansive trees tower to show that while Makaha is dryer than the Windward Coast towns, it has its share of greens. Take a day trip after any water sports or outdoor activities and unwind at a resort spa in nearby Ko Olina.

Eat And Shop

Makaha and Waianae have no shortage of nifty eateries. Food trucks, with pasteles and poke, a gift inherited from Hawaii's diverse cultural plantation workers. The food fun continues with tacos, steaks and Korean barbecue, all served with an island twist. Make sure to find time for a fine dinner or two, both seaside and prepared at home in the gourmet kitchen of your Makaha luxury rental. Also significant is the farm to table experience every chance you get, which includes Kahumana Organic Farm & Caf. All the food is vegetarian and there's nothing like eating fresh food overlooking the acres of farmland from indoors, particularly the macadamia nut pesto and gingerbread cake for dessert. Daily specials are available.

Makaha on the Leeward Coast is remote and away from commerciality and congestion but a few shops are located within the area for essentials; however, leisurely shopping and browsing opportunities are available within a half hour away.
