A nice south shore hike begins at the north end of Shipwreck Beach and continues along the shoreline over petrified sand dunes and past ancient cultural sites to Kawailoa Bay with great coastal views. There are dozens of activities to choose from on the south shore and nearby areas including ATV excursions, ziplining, helicopter tours and much more.<br><br><b>Nearby Beaches</b><br>Poipu Beach Park is a great family beach with some well-protected areas as well as spots for snorkeling and surfing. This is a lifeguarded beach with full facilities including restrooms, showers and picnic tables. The large beach is divided by a sandbar and has a calm, sandy-bottomed area ideal for children and other areas for snorkeling, bodyboarding, surfing and tidepool exploring.
