A great place to play for golfers looking for a unique Maui golf experience, the Dunes gets its' name from a large expanse of sand dunes that the course was designed around. The dry climate nor the dunes show themselves very easily, due to the wonders of irrigation the course is lush and green. Utilizing the landscape the designer wrapped this course into the natural dune environment. Many have compared it to the feeling of golfing a tropical "Scottish" course, because of its respect to the natural terrain and elements. There are a few areas of the course that play close to a busy residential area, with street crossings between holes.

Local's Tip:
Not every day on Maui is windy, but on the windy days the Dunes can be quite the challenge due to its' exposure. Our "trade wind" is a strong northeast wind, playing early or late in the afternoon allows you to avoid the winds affects.
