Our Wainiha condos are set amidst the beauty of Kauai's lush and verdant north shore known for its ideal weather, majestic views and pristine beaches. Just down the road from Wainiha is the trail along the renowned Na Pali Coast and Kee Beach, and in the other direction more great beaches, charming Hanalei town, Princeville Resort and Kilauea town with its historic lighthouse perched on the ocean bluffs.

Things To Do
Tunnels Beach, also known as Makua, is one of the closest beaches to Wainiha and also one of the island's finest with crystal clear waters, exceptional snorkeling and verdant mountains rising up steeply just inland from the shore. Just down the road is Kee Beach which is also known for its picturesque beauty and great snorkeling. This is also the place where the trail begins to Hanakapiai Beach (a great day hike) and the famed Kalalau Valley along the Na Pali Coast.

Another interesting attraction near Wainiha is Limahuli Garden. The botanical preserve is set beneath the backdrop of Makana Mountain which is known also as Bali Hai due to its portrayal in the movie South Pacific. A self-guided tour at Limahuli takes you amidst the native plants as well as important species brought here by the first Hawaiians. Notable are the restored agricultural terraces where taro was planted in ancient times.

Eat and Shop
The short drive to Hanalei town will bring you to a variety of restaurants from burgers to fine dining. Bar Acuda is known for their spotless, open kitchen and creative cuisine emphasizing fresh local produce along with exotic touches. Try the seared Hawaiian fish with local tomato and macadamia nut pesto. They also offer amazing desserts such as the House made Limoncello consisting of Meyer lemon-infused vodka and served with lemon-anise biscotti.

Just past Hanalei is the Princeville resort area where you can choose from several nice restaurants at the Foodland Shopping Center which also offers a variety of unique shops, art galleries and also a post office. The resort hotel dining in Princeville is outstanding including perhaps the area's best views from Makana Terrace at the St. Regis, a great place to enjoy a sunset beverage and watch the sky turn colors over Hanalei Bay.

Getting Around
A rental car is recommended when staying in Wainiha condos giving you easy access to the many sites and attractions along Kauai's northern shore and beyond from the sunny Poipu Resort area to Waimea Canyon
